hello fellow PCE enthusiasts i ran across this guide to installing the fram mod on my PCE IFU-30A
https://consolemods.org/wiki/TG16:FRAM/FeRAM_Mod
problem is there is only a written guide on how to install it on my IFU-30A unit i know FM16W08 FRAM chip is needed but where do i have to solder wire it up to a 5V or ground location on my IFU-30A unit to get it working correctly user Vimtoman posted an install of the fram chip in a duo PCE console the picture of fram chip pins lifted is helpful but there isn't even a youtube video or a revised written fram IFU-30A installation guide to source for reference sake with install pictures. anyone with soldering mod experience working on PCE consoles who might have attempted a fram mod install specifically for my IFU-30A PCE i would really very much appreciate any help you can provide with this thanks in advance

I know this is an old topic, but I recently did this myself and took pictures, so I figure that even if it's too late to help the original poster, it could at least help some others.
Removing the supercapacitor in the IFU-30A frees up its ground via to solder the additional address lines to to ground them.
An original IFU-30 is the same procedure as the IFU-30A, just in a different place with different grounding points available.
