Any help please.
I have a Super CDRom2 unit that boots to a white screen - if I insert a huCard it works fine, including a system card.
I've tried the core grafx in a different Super CDRom2 and that works as expected and and boots to the inbuilt system 3.0 bios so I know it's not the core grafx and is definitely something to do with the Super CDRom 2.
Thanks

Most likely bad capacitors combined with shorted out via holes or traces. Especially in the area of the board with the higher value capacitors(near the 7805 voltage regular and heatsink).

The Super CD-ROM is a mess if the electrolytic capacitors hadn't been replaced yet.
You have to make sure to literally remove all of them, then clean the whole PCB thoroughly and revisit / repair all vias and tracks in those regions carefully with microscope and multimeter.
The removal can be really tricky though when the caps have already leaked.
