What I want for X-Mas...
1.) Fujitsu FM-Towns Marty 2 - Tops on my list. I would opt for a complete FM-Towns II computer, but the S&H costs would be insane.
2.) MSX Sakhr AX-990 - A very rare MSX computer from the middle east, this model has a built in Sega MegaDrive. I'm curious if this plays japanese games.
3.) NEC PC-9821Na Laptop - So I can play PC-98 games without all the emulated hiccups.
-
in hardware point of view, a FM Towns Marty 2 with all its shmups. that would really satisfy me for at least the next month, years  :-"
-
I would like a classic style lavalamp with blue wax and purple liquid.

Nothing...we don't celebrate it.

Metal Slug Anthology
Transformers series and movie on DVD
Super Mario Bros Super Show + Zelda cartoon on DVD
FF XII
That's pretty much it.

I would love:
* Siekiera's "Nowa Alexandria" LP on CD (this is the only thing on this list I might be able to get one of these years)
* any/all of the 1979-1985 "Choose your own Adventure" books I don't have.
My fantasy xmas list (perhaps some available as bootlegs, but I doubt it...):
* for the entire "High Feather" series to be released on DVD (the best PBS show about hygiene and how dangerous summer camp can be)
* for the LP soundtrack to "Foxes" (1984) to be released on CD (Giorgio Moroder's tracks, plus the song "20th. Century Foxes" = pure bliss)
* for "A Cold Winter's Night Death" to be released on DVD (ahhh, I can't explain this one. I just like this and haven't seen it since I was in middle school).
* for the entire "Spiral Zone" series to be released on DVD (this was an exceedingly crappy show, but I still want to see it again)
* for the entire "Galaxy Rangers" series to be released on DVD (this was a great show; some episodes were absolutely magnificent, like the "Halloween"-themed one.)

Steve, speaking of old ass shows, do you remember The Great Space Coaster? I would love to get that on DVD, but barely anybody remembers it so I doubt it will ever happen. Also, 321 Contact was one of my all time favorites, but that's another that will never see a DVD release most likely.

The Great Space Coaster... will spin you through the galaxy!!??

That show ruled! I can still sing the theme song, but I'm sure the lyrics are a bit mangled:
"Everybody hop in and __________
We're going for a magic ride
ON THE GREAT SPACE COASTER!!!!!!!!!
come on and ride on
THE GREAT SPACE COASTER!!!!
come on and ride!"
Anyway, that show friggin' ruled. The other day I told my daughter about Gary Gnu (who always said "Any news is good gnews?" or something like that). I was never a big fan of that elephant dude with the translucent trunk... but that's because I was distracted by the translucent trunk thing. I'm sure I'm forgetting tons of stuff, but it was like a flashier version of PBS' "3-2-1 Contact" (which was a friggin' great show in itself). Great Space Coaster was like 3-2-1 Contact + Muppets, which is a good thing, IMO. I remember that one of the hosts would pull out a small "televsion" screen (more like an Etch-a-Sketch?) in every episode and then something would happen. I can't remember if there would be a short animation or if there would be a mini-documentary about the theme of the show.
Anyway, I agree with you GUTS. I would love to see this show again. I totally forgot about it. While we are on the subject of semi-educational shows, I think you and I would also love to see Square One (especially Mathnet!) again. IIRC, you liked that show :).
MYSTERY TO ME: There was a friggin' awesome show on PBS that starred a young girl with blond hair in pigtails (she reminded me of the girl from Land of the Lost) who had to solve mysteries... with the help of a talking typewriter (it was like a muppet.. with eyes). I *think* viewers had to figure out the missing letters in words, or re-arrange sentences, or something like that. What the hell was the name of that show? It was made in the early- to mid- eighties, but PBS aired it for many years (I guess it was popular). I *think*, but I'm not sure, that the old guy from another PBS show (the show in which our host would read a story, but we watched him drawing pictures with chalk) might also have been on this typewriter mystery show. That dude loved his flannel shirts, by the way, and wore them in nearly every episode of the storytelling / drawing show. IIRC, there was a similar show on PBS that featured an older woman drawing / storytelling as well.
Back on topic: All of the shows I mentioned in this post are on my fantasy xmas list, and will remain there until I convince some PBS stations to give me all of their old videos. These shows should be preserved by archive.org, goddammit!

All Id really want for xmas is for my kids to enjoy it more then the year before, and before that, and before that. I just like watching my kids open gifts. Im pretty happy with that.
But id also settle for them to announce that they decided to cancel the Transformers movie due to the fact they had no intentions to do the originals justice.

Haha yeah that's the theme song, awesome, I can't believe some of you guys actually remember that show. The little segments on the TV were this one line drawing of a guy who would walk along and stuff would happen to him, then he'd get pissed off, it was rad. Pretty much every PBS kid's show was great up until Carmen Sandiego & Bill Nye, I hated both of those hardcore (Bill Nye was just a poor man's Beakman's World).

 WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!
great music, great hosting, stupid contestants - everything you need for a great game show. I'm just sad they don't do it anymore. :(
But seriously, i would've smoked any of those kids. Even on Africa.

I have to agree with GUTS about Carmen Sandiego. Except, I loved the a capella band that did the theme song. Yeah, it's dorky, but it rules. The name of the band escapes me right now, but it was something like "Rockapella", IIRC.
TRIVIA: The female DJ from "The Warriors" (the one who addresses all the "boppers" in the intro of the movie) had a big role in Carmen Sandiego. She might have also had a lesser role in Square One, but my memory is hazy on that detail.

I've been meaning to watch The Warriors for like the past year, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. My bros love that movie, so I'll probably watch it sometime when my bro comes home next week. I've seen the trailer though and it looks great :) .

I got one Christmas present early and am expecting another one soon. My family has just decided to give me my presents during the holiday season rather than at Christmas because our anxiety just can't keep us away! :P
What I got:
[ul][li]A Lifecam VX-3000 webcam for all my online cam needs.[/li][/ul]
What I wanna get:
[ul][li]A music CD tower for 100+ CDs because the CD shelves in my entertainment center are getting very full and are in desperate need of a sorting[/li][/ul]
