hi,
I did the LCDDRV mod for my GT. I remember reading other people have wired to use the existing brightness wheel to adjust the brightness LCDDRV. Can anyone tell me the steps?
thanks in advance.

I'll be working on a RGB screen PC engine GT later tonight. Will update with pictures for the brightness then. You just have to solder in 1 wire from the Screen to the brightness dial.

Here are the two points to solder in the wire. Also make sure to solder/bridge the small jumper (JP1) on the LCDDRV board.

You will need to turn down the brightness pot on the LCDDRV board quite a bit to compensate for the added brightness.

thank you, so only need to solder 1 wire. I will give it a try.

This single wire connection doesnt work for me, does anyone knows how to hook this up?
I found these set of images not sure which cable goes where:

Did you make sure to also solder the jumper on the LCDdrv board?
Around 4-5 years ago I used to wire things up with two wires but then something changed schematically with the LCDDRV board where the two wire method no longer worked.
