Granted this has been out in the UK for over a year.
I was woundering if was gonna be release in the U.S or not.
Enjoy vol1 alot on my PS2 and afther i herd vol2 was, coming i waited and waited and wounder where is it!?
I just hope this date they list is real :P http://www.us.playstation.com/Search?search&s=Taito%20Legends

Damn that's cool, 40 games? It'd be worth the $20 alone for Elevator Action Returns, that game rules.
-
Crap I hope this comes true, cuz I've been waitin' too!!!
-
Elevator Action Returns is awesome, though I'm really not into collection games.
-
Haha well maybe they'll put them on the Virtual Console so you can pay $8 for each game, then you'll be stoked.
Speaking of, I don't understand how companies can offer 20-40 games on these compilations yet charge $5-$10 for a single ROM on the VC and even Xbox Live, what the f*ck? I fear that since the VC is doing pretty well that these type of compilations are going to become obsolete since companies are going to want to milk every last dime out of their games.

Most collections are even a rip off, like the Midway ones. If a company is going to put out something like the Intellivision collection, it should retail for $25 U.S. and come with an Intv pad for the console its for.
At least classic collections are getting more special features. A sound test makes a retro set worth it for me and I really wish we'd at least get that much with VC games.
I couldn't wait for Taito Collection 2, so I ordered the U.K. versio recently after getting tipped off that it has a 60hz mode. TC2 has more PCE titles than any other arcade retro set.

More like I'll just play it on my MAME ROM set and use an arcade stick :P .

Hell ya! Its way more fun that way :D
-
and those collections don't have parasol stars on any of them which to me seems like it was pc engine exclusive ^__^
so any ports on to other systems must have been based on the pc engine one.
edit:
Point being is that parasol stars never did make it to the arcades.

Rom whore jk i use mame myself as well.
Still i'll get, Taito legends 2 when it's released... i rather play classic games on the tv then on my monitor more.
-
I've been building a custom arcade cab that I'm going to throw a computer in with mame. But I also like those ps2 collections.
-
I never thought this collection would end up being released, deffinitly picking it up!
-
Bump!
I was woundering if any body else got there copy yet ?
I got mine last week and i like the selection it's got. About the only thing i'm piss off about is no, Cadash or Bubble Symphony since there Xbox pal only.
I'm glad destineer studios came through and publish, Taito Legends 2 for the PS2 in the U.S.. but i'm just annoyed how... it took so long to get here.
Not to mention being a exclusive at GS only.

Besides the fact that this collection has LIQUID KIDS!!!!!!!!, I just wanted to point out that the collection is worth it for this game alone (http://www.taitolegends2.com/game.aspx?GID=E691CEB1-C58A-45B0-9496-C6B73C949007). I usually select "Lick Joe" when I play said game.

Agreed glad it has Liquid Kids on it.
I still have the pce version but it isn't a perfect port, and while the saturn version is that version go's for too much these days.
So having it on, TL2 sure makes it a cheap way to play it like the arcade but at home
-
Yeah, I got this, & Taito Legends Power Up for PSP.
-
It's worth noting that even though the PS2 and PSP collections are a "GameStop/EB Exclusive", less than half of the EB/GameStops out there seem to be carrying it, and what stores that do get it are only getting a copy or two. Give these games a couple of years and they may be worth something to collectors, hehe. ;)
Later.
