The Sunseibu Saturn (http://nfggames.com/games/SGX/), a coin-operated Saturn with 7-CD changer that was used in Japanese hotels, is up for bids here (http://cgi.ebay.com/SEGA-SATURN-SGX-ULTRA-RARE_W0QQitemZ220078292824QQihZ012QQcategoryZ62054QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting). It's neat, but definitely out of my price range.
Personally, If I had the money to burn, I'd look for the sleek Hi-Saturn Navi (http://nfggames.com/games/hisaturn/)...

yeah, the hi saturn navi is the neatest looking of the saturns. (i like boxy.) too bad it's so damn rare.

I still want the MPEG card that I can slide into my existing Saturn.

I once bought a white Saturn at a fleamarket for $10 or $20 with the wireless pad sensor. It turned out to have the mpeg card inside as well as a modchip. :)

Send me the MPEG card NOW. In return I will smile and say "thank you".

Pretty good deal! :D

I'm happy with my standard Saturn. I think it looks better than all the "weird" models. ;) Although, I'd like a white one instead. White is good.

a Sega console that isn't black is cursed. (sg-1000 went nowhere, and i shouldn't have to explain the Dreamcast...)

Other than the HiSaturn Navi, I personally prefer the US black model (1 with oval buttons). I prefer black over white + the model 1 just looks more sleek with the access light and the glossy instrument(?) panel strip.
Joe, I do have an extra MPEG card - the JVC twin operator. I was thinking about selling it in a package with a few compatible games - Lunar SS MPEG, JP Gungriffon, and maybe Sakura Taisen Steam Radio Show (I say maybe cause I have 2 copies of the first 2 games, but not ST:SRS). I'm not quite sure what the fair value would be, but PM me if you're interested.

That Hi-Saturn Navi is very pretty. It looks some what like a NeoGeo CDZ.

I don't think that statement makes much sense. The Mega Drive was hugely popular in the US, and EU, but a complete turd in Japan. It was black in all three territories. The Saturn was black in the US, where it tanked hugely, but silver in Japan where it well enough. When they changed the Japanese ones to white, the system really took off and did rather well.
Sega's best machines are easily the SS, and DC, and both were white. The vast majority of Saturns sold in Japan were white.
As far as rare Saturns and such, I don't really give a crap. I think the standard white Japanese unit is the coolest, and its the most common so...money spent in rarity is pretty useless with this system.

The black Sega Master System didn't do very well outside of Europe.
