Title: AV Booster question
Post by: SignOfZeta on February 11, 2007, 01:21:00 PM
What add-ons are there that give a standard PC Engine both AV, and back-up memory? Excluding a CDROM system, of course. Does the Backup Booster 2 do this?

Whatever the JP equivalent of the Turbo Booster Plus is, basically. That's what I'm looking for.

Tennokoe 2 does the saving but no a/v outlet, from what I recall.

Basically, if you have the original white pc engine, I think the only way to get composite out of it is either through a cd-rom unit or physically modding the system (or the tennokoe 2 unit itself, which would really make it the equivalent of the TurboBooster Plus).

edit: pics here (http://wiki.pcengine.info/pmwiki.php?n=Hardware.Tennokoe2).

Hey, that's a cool site. Is that site mirrored in English anywhere?

Nah, you can use an AV Booster to get AV from a white PCE. They are on eBay for $30-50 all the time.

What I'm looking to learn is if the Backup Booster 2 also has AV out. I think it does.

According to here: http://www.sdk-team.com/collection_nec_pce.htm - the Backup Booster has AV out, but the Backup Booster 2 does not.

Ah, I stand corrected -
