Title: Alien Crush : too easy?
Post by: Spector on February 15, 2007, 02:25:45 AM
I think it is, as after a day or two's play, I could play for an hour on just one game and get over 20 million. After another couple of days play, I can play for about an hour and get 20 million with 2 spare pinballs remaining. If I really wnated to, I could go on for three or four hours, which is surely too long for a game of pinball. And I've only been playing it for a few days without that much practice. I just wish it was harder, as it's not challenging me.

Is Devil Crash more difficult? I hope so.   :)

Are you playing with a "Fast" or "Slow" ball? Never play with the "Slow" ball unless you are physically handicapped.

I don't find either one THAT easy. But then, for me, pinball games are a timewaster I like to drop in when I know I've only got a half hour or so to kill before going out, etc.

I love both those games, but I never sit down to a long gaming session with either one.

I don't think Devil's Crush is harder, but there is more to it. Actually, maybe the bonus rounds are little tougher but that's it.

If you want to add a little spice to your Alien Crush gaming, when you get to the bonus round with the skulls and the green things, eliminate everything but one skull. Knock your ball around for a few minutes without eliminating that last skull and you'll get a surprise. Don't lose your ball!

Also keep in mind that most games from the late 80s, early 90s were meant to be played for at most 30 minutes at a time, especially pinball games :)  I find that every pinball game I've ever played eventually gets too easy or too repetitive if you play it enough.  Take it easy :)

Isn't that what I just said?  :-s  :D

Time Cruise 2 is far easier. Played that for so long once it was getting silly.

I could play Alien Crush for endless hours as well, it's easy to keep getting extra balls and not dying. Personally I think Devil's Crush is "harder" and doesn't last as long as Alien Crush can.

Aliens are so much more easy to crush than devils.  St00pid aliens.  [-X

Agreed, but the mini-golf bonus stage kicks ass.  I wouldn't call any of the pinball games 'easy', but they aren't impossible either.  Time Cruise is my favorite to play because of the variety of bonus stages that don't always involve pinball action.  Alien Crush and Devil's Crush get pretty repetitive after 20 minutes or so, tho the music rocks on.

But if you play it for long enough, you get the ending. :D

I've seen it only twice, considering how long it takes to get it.
