Well, i figured with the recent outburst of Polls. I should do one...
I was curious how many peeps from these boards are going to be attending the FIRST EVER Turbo Fest.
Its going to be a part of The Midwest gaming Classic down in Milwaukee, WI(Oconomowoc to be exact) on June 9th and 10th.
If you can make it, That would be killer!!!
If you have other plans, drop them! 8)
If you'r too far away, fly in!!
Its so Gonna ROCK!!!
-
I'd wouldn't mind going, but funding won't allow it. Besides, Milwaukee is just a little too close to those crazy hockey lovin' moose humpers. :)
-
I would attend if it didn't involve traveling to the other side of the planet. :)
-
If you guys had had the sense to host it closer to the centre of the universe (Vancouver), then I'd be there. [-(
-
I'll be there obviously.
-
would like to attend, but it's just a little bit far far away :(
Milwaukee WI Oconomowoc? what's that kind of a wigwam village or so?
-
I wouldn't... have the time to save money up for a trip to that any ways.
Beside the local anime convention i go to wich is the, Otakon starts in july.
I need my money for that any ways sorry man.
It's one or the other i've made mind up don't 'try to change my mind.

I'm probably going to MGC, but I'm certainly not going to attend turbo fest! 8)

Cheeseheads have problems when it comes to naming towns. They all have wacky names no one can ever pronounce.

has anyone ever gone to this before? I went to the website but I guess im looking for more of a feel of what they have there. Like I believe its a 2 day thing but can you spend 2 days there or is it a 1 and done type of thing?
-
MGC is a two day event. One day is all you really need to see everything there, though.
There are speakers (such as the legendary MARTY GOLDBERG), a whole lot of people selling stuff (Warp Zone had the best stuff last year, IMO), a Pinball tournament (and lots of pinball machines on free play), and a game room with lots of rarish games that they swap out throughout the two days. They are also doing some new stuff this year, like a video game tournament. (hello, Kamino!)
I'm sure other people here can tell you what is going on better than I can as they are actually organizing the event.

I know I've whored this link up a lot, but here (http://www.lazerdorks.org/stunningarticles/mgc/index.html) is more info regarding the MGC.

Hold it in or around Denver and I'll go. I'd even bring a friend which would double the attendance!
-
I might, or I might not, so I voted for both.
