Hello. I got a Turbografx 16 with cd attachment yesterday. The Turbografx works fine, but the cd does not. When I first tried it, the led was on but the cd wouldn't spin. I pulled off just the cd part to see if it would spin when I pressed the play button, but it didn't. I tapped it a few times and managed to get it working. I played my games in peace. When I wanted to play again later, I had to do the same thing. So I ended up disassembling it, and the #8 wire that was soldered to the base broke off. I soldered it back on but it didn't fix my problem. Also, when I had it apart, I lost track of how the wider ribbon (12 pin I think) plugs into the mainboard. So first of all, do the metal contacts face toward the edge of the board or toward the center? Second, what else could I check that might be causing it? I haven't gotten it to work since last night by the way. Finally, might I be able to take it to an electronics place and have it fixed for less than about $50? Thanks for any answers.

kenshi: I know this is late, but did you ever figure out this problem? Did you post your problem to the Turbo Mailing List? If anything, someone on there would be able to help you out since you are using a TG-CD (Everybody I know has TurboDuos)...good luck! Hope you get it fixed! Aaron Nanto

I haven't gotten it fixed, but I found someone who may be able to fix it. I bought a replacement though so I can be a little patient now. If he doesn't fix it, I may check the mailing list.

By the way, where's the Turbo Mailing List?
