Recently saw an ad in the paper; Target is selling a karaoke machine for almost 40 bucks. But I noticed that the machine uses... wait for it... CD+G discs!
So, has anyone tried using their turbo as a karaoke machine? did it work very well?
Also, let's say I wanted to make my own karaoke disc, or my own CD+G mix disc. Any idea how I would do that? I have a CD burner on my PC. Do CD+G's require any special equipment? How about software?
TIA.

hi, this is esteban from gamefaqs...
making tg-16 into a karaoke machine:
all you have to do is get a cheap sound mixer (make sure it supports microphone 1/4" plug and audio RCA plugs)
duo AUDIO OUT --------- mixer ------------- your stereo/tv
|
microphone----------------|
this should work great (i've done this for making cheezy home films, not karaoke).
p.s. i saw a cheap karaoke in the store and i thought the same thing "wow, CD+G, i've always wanted to see what that was like". not many CD+G albums were released (it wasn't popular)....the cheezy old magazine TURBOPLAY did a feature on CD+G discs back in 1991/92...not many albums on the list. in addition to this board, you should post all your turbo related stuff at:
boards.gamers.com/message...fax&page=1 (http://boards.gamers.com/messages/overview.asp?name=tgrrfax&page=1)
because you'll get more feedback (well, at the very least i'd respond--i don't check the pcenginefx board too often)
