Title: Found this on my hard drive...

It's a recording of the Turrican 2 Amiga Intro/Title, ripped from a TFMX Winamp plugin, and ran through the Winamp DFX aural exciter plugin so it sounds really really good!

This is hands down, the BEST synthpop song EVER, and possibly the best Amiga module ever.

The Amiga and the GameBoy Advance sure seem to share a lot in the area of sound quality.  Listen to this tune and you may think it is a recording from the GBA itself!  Both systems have extremely "thin and wispy sounding" samples with a lot of high frequency noise.  I will forgive the Amiga since it is about 40 years older than the GBA.

Not exactly 40, but whatever. If you want a GBA game that really sounds like an Amiga, seek out Iridion 2.

Initially, when I happened upon this thread I thought you were going to share your porn collection with us.

I can't convey to you my disappointment.

All I have is furry porn. Still disapointed?

It's also a frickin' computer. :D

You're wrong. It's BETTER.

It's a computer, but when it's hooked up to the mighty Video Toaster with Lightwave 3D it's.... still a computer.

Wrong, it's an Amiga. ^_^

Exactly, but the PCM channels on the GBA sound a bit similar. In order to make this MP3 sound really good, I had to run it through the DFX aural exciter, which enhances bass and other frequencies...

i loved the intro of T2. watched resp. listened to it hours after hours days afters days back then. ahem. still nowadays i do.

but honestly, it doesn't sounds much different as you play the original TFXM through the Deliplayer and activate some filters.

This track is good :) , but there are many greater Turrican tunes.

Kitsune, you should hear some of the Turrican remixes they play on Slay Radio. Excellent stuff.

Also, as you probably are already aware, Huelsbeck has tons of great stuff -- much of it outclasses the intro to Turrican II.

I'm sorry for being a stinker! I appreciate the mp3, though, and I'll have another listen now...

1. The remixes are great, but the originals are better.

2. Yeah, I know CH has better stuff (like the Great Giana Sisters SID), but this is just a great tune. :)
