Title: UK PSU question
Post by: smilingbob on November 17, 2002, 02:04:00 AM
A cry for help here. I live in the UK, and I've just gotten hold of a Jap Core Grafx 2 with no power supply. I've heard that I can just get another 9v DC power supply with little to no problems, but I have no clue about the differing voltages between the UK and Japan (240v and 100v, I think). Would I be able to just get a power supply, just like that, or would a UK 240v power supply just blow the 'engine up?

I've been in a similar situation to yourself.  Highly recommended for correct power supply units for PC Engines/TG16s/TEs/etc is Raven Games.  www.ravengames.co.uk (http://www.ravengames.co.uk/) is the link.

They've been in the business from day one, and have the correct PSUs in stock for around £10 (or so) each.

Use a Master System, Megadrive, Neo Geo or Snes uk power unit.

You could fluff around with the jap psu + step down.......but there is no point.

I use the same one 9v uk all most of my 8/16 bit consoles, uk or jap.
