Totally awesome! Do you have the original brochure?

I do. I'll probably do some better scans in future if anyone wants them.

When you get a chance, I would love high-quality scans (300+ dpi, .tif / lossless format). Then I'd make high-quality JPG versions and host them on my site.

You have also posted scans from British mags (i.e. Bloody Wolf review)... I would love full-page scans of these (+ scans of the magazine's cover) to be included in the Magazine Archive.

I know you are super-busy, but check your PM for more info.... :)

I see a 1-player Turbo Tap.  WTF?  It's just below the wireless thingy.  It's called "Memory Base".  I demand an explanation of what this is or I will post a cuss word!

It's a device that allows you to save your game with. I'm not too sure how they work, but there have been posts about it before on here, including a dedicated thread.

Thanks for sharing Paul.

The Memory Base octupled (that's right, I'm making up words now) the Duo's saving capacity (Duo = 2048 bytes / Memory Base 128 = 16,384 bytes).  Unfortunately, games had to be programmed to take advantage of the MB128, and not many games used it.

Essentially, games that work with the Memory Base allows you to use it like a massive Tennokoe(sp?) Bank Card (at least that's how Vasteel 2 uses it.)

Anyway, once you have a game that supports it, you should be able to use the MB128 in a way that affects all of your games by swapping your duo's save file in and out.

Kind of off topic.....

Has anyone experienced magicoal?  I always wanted to pick that one up, but its kind of fallen off my radar.

It looks pretty cool..... judging from the scans above... that is.....

Well, if I remember correctly...

Magicoal was a great top-down action-adventure game(?).  You can play 2 players, if you don't then you can alternate between both characters (if I remember correctly).  I remember playing up to a point where I had to get a potion by mixing various different ingredients.  I had no clue what to mix, I'm guessing that there's probably a FAQ out there to help with that one bit...  Granted, my save game went away with my duo, but I might have it on my bank card somewhere...

(Argh, too many games, so little time.)
