It looks like we're getting a $100 price drop on the Premium and Core Xbox 360 systems here in Canada, since we have been overcharged for them by so much since day one.
This now brings the MSRP of the Core 360 to $299.99, while the Wii's MSRP is still $279.99.
Most Core packs I see come with free game(s) too, so you can basically buy a 360 for about the same price as a Wii, which is still hard to find for the average person, while Core bundles aren't so rare.
The 360 is supposed to be doing proportionately better here than in the U.S. already, so this can only help cement its lead over the PS3 in this country at least(where PS3's haven't sold out since day one).

The Canadian market is comparable to that of Bolivia, correct? Hmmm... or was it Belize?
Just kidding :) !

Wow, makes me think, a price drop on the Wii will be sooner then I thought. Not that it will be soon, the sales need to die down first ofcoarse, but, eventually, to beef up sales again, they'll need to drop it....that is, unless the Wii continues to blast the competition & sell out everywhere for years to come?

Man, you Canadians are getting screwed as always especially since the Canadian-US exchange is almost 1:1 now.

I read this as Xbox 360 drops to Wii on Canada, and had a hilarious mental picture of a giant Xbox 360 with it's pants around it's "ankles" pissing all over Canada.
Most likely and as per the usual, this is probably only funny to me.

Indeed.
Hey, have you listened to the Jim Power PCE soundtrack yet? You being an Amiga + Hulsbeck fan and all... I've been listening to it recently and I thought you'd dig some of the tracks ( http://junk.tg-16.com/audio/Jim_Power/Jim_Power_Track_06.mp3

I know, especially since our dollar is continuing to gain on the U.S. dollar.
I remember getting junk mail from Nintendo back in the day, because I had once had a Nintendo Power subscription, in which they were telling Canadians how they'd set the MSRP of the SNES so that it was cheaper than in the U.S. -because they 'realized how tough we had it' or something. :P

Canada rocks, the benefits of living there outweighs the stupid shit like currency exchange. I don't live in Canada though, I live in California, which is also badass 8)

I would still wait 2 or 3 months to buy one though if you don't have one yet. That is when they will revise the board and the lower heat CPU. Man, I love to see Microsoft loose money from design flaws. It is the only thing that keeps them from making complete shite all the time.

hahaha, I too find enjoyment in this.
