I recently got shapeshifter(usa version) played for awhile and saved a game.Then when I tried to play cosmic fantasy 2 I noticed my save file had been deleted as well as all of my other save files.Is this just a problem with this game or is my Black PCE Duo the problem.I went into the file editor menu and the only thing in it was the shapeshiter save WTF!

Ogre, the problem is with the game. This exact same thing happened to me recently. Your other files are gone forever. I recommend getting a Tennokoe Bank cart (kind of like a back-up memory card) and keeping the Shape Shifter save file completely isolated in it's own "Bank" on this card, away from your normal saves. That's what I ended up doing because I am not willing to risk losing my other files again.
I had some high score lists that were at least a decade old that were lost when Shape Shifter decided to hijack my save memory.

Welcome aboard ogre. I haven't had the displeasure of Shape Shifter raping my Duo's memory, but it can happen. Just follow nat's suggestion and use a Tennokoe Bank to protect those valuable saves. It's what all the cool people (and I) do.

apparently there are other games that do this too, but I can't recall who they are, mainly because I don't own them, haha.

I had no idea there were games that ate the Turbo memory clean. There should be a list of all the hungry hippos.
