Well, lately; I'm trying to find back all these systems in Hong Knog, and have found little stores in old shopping malls where people keep all these old electronics and sells them.  below is my List so far and prices that I got them for,

PC Engine (White)    (got it for about USD 26.00 )
PC Engine Due (CD still works  heehehee)     (got this one for USD 52)
PC Engine Core Grafx 2  (same.. got it for USD 26)

and a few CD and Hu card games,, it works out to around 8 bucks USD each.

In progress of getting:   Super Grafx console.  (this one maybe expensive  USD100), (Rare)  haven't got it yet. but probaby get it from the guy next time going down.

How much did ya guys get your systems for ?? or you''ve owned them from the begining ?

WOW I PAID ONLY $50 BOX FOR A BRAND NEW TURBO DUO BY GIVING THE OLD BROKEN TURBO GRAFX IN WWW.TZD.COM SOME YEARS AGO.  IT WAS CALLED "THE UPGRADE OFFER". LATER I BUYED A BROKEN TURBO DUO FOR $10 IN A FLEA MARKET AND LATER I SENDED TO TZD.COM WITH OTHER $50 AND GET ANOTHER TURBO DUO BRAND NEW JEJEJE. I'M JUST LUCKY.  LATER I BUYED A TURBO GRAFX CD BASE ONLY WITH 20 GAMES FOR $100 AND I REPLACED THE BROKEN CD PLAYER ONLY WITH A BRAND NEW CD PLAYER I BUYED FROM TZD.COM FOR $25. JEJEJE I DON'T LET GO THIS OPORTUNITIES.  BUT IN THESE YEARS ANY OF THESE ARE POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE OVERPRINCING OF THE MACHINE. BUT WHO CARE'S ABOUT THE PRICE JEJEJE IT'S THE OMNIPOTENT TURBO DUO. IT COST EVERY PENNY !!!

I have no Idea, Pls educate me

the duo-r has a total make over from the inside out over the regular duo. The Duo-rX is just a duo-r marketed with a 6 button turbo pad. I've also heard from members on here that the duo-r and rx are more reliable than the regular duo.

Yeah it's cheap.. you only have to pay a premium for the Rare/Popular titles.. and still it's cheaper
than what you would find at an import shop.  Right now I live up north in Misawa.  I do the majority of my
game shopping in Aomori, Hachinohe and Towada.

Okinawa has alot of good stuff on the cheap as well.. and you don't have to do much traveling since the
stores aren't spread out too far... since the island is so small.  I spent 4 years there... and let me tell you
I had a hay-day there.

Old games and systems are seen as trash in Japan.  People look at me like I'm a fool when they see me
digging through a pile of PCE games.  Most 'Mom & Pop' shops will sell the stuff really cheap.
The only time you see a game or system marked up in price is when you go to a Specialy store where the
the 'gaijins' frequent.  Store owners there know they can get away with steep prices.

It's Japanese for 'Foreigner' or 'Outsider'.

what's a gaijin?

I usually go shopping in Osaka.  Most of the rare shops do cater mostly to tourists (Japanese tourists too, not just us "gaijin"), so the super rare games are priced accordingly (though still far cheaper then ebay).  The normal releases are all afordable, but prices can vary widely.  For example in Osaka there are 2 shops next to each other.  One of them wants about $60 for RayXanber III, while the other wants about $20.  However the "cheap" store wants about $150 for Last Blade 2 AES, while the "expensive" store only wants about $90.  So the rule is be patient, check everywhere, and never impulse buy!

Yeah, NEC didn't see much difference either.

Unfortunately, they didn't notice until after the system was already on the market.

I had real fun on the "1941" last night.. such a great game.

1941 can be fun but I was kind of disappointed with the music. By far the best tune is the one that plays briefly while you enter your initials for the high score.
