Post by: Solscud007 on June 29, 2004, 06:50:29 PM
This always bugged me. I am having a hard time with all these different variations of the PC engine. can some one lay down a list and explain the differences?

oh and why is TG16 so freaking big when PC engine is so small?

maybe someone thought dinky small size PC Engine won't appeal to US market  - thought US buyers want something substantial for their money rather than tiny toy look-alike... :p

cheers

^^ in addition, the US FCC requires electronic devices to be shielded (to minimize interference with other electronics).... still, NEC could have just made a slightly bigger PCE instead of making the huge tg16.

I've always been sort of embarrassed of our model.  I've heard a lot of French and Japanese people joking about it.
