I cannot answer this question as I have never died in any game.
Granted, but what about a favorite death that you dealt out in a multi-player game? . . . . Damn! You probably don't have one of them either, since nobody would dare challenge your skillz. Well, I guess that you could always pick one out from screen shots that us weak losers have made of our sweet release.

I'm going to go with sonic the hedgehog. He puts his hands up in the air as if he is being robbed, and then you hear a strange boner popping noise, lmao.

Beyond Shadowgate for the win.
This game has multiple death scenes. And they are all awesome!! My fav would have to be trying to grasp the sword out of the muck in the depths of the woods without the gauntlets to protect your hands... Just try it!
have fun getting the screen clean!

good ones:
bomberman fausette amour adventure island akumajou dracula x
and the best ever:
takahashi meijin in takahashimeijin no shinboukenjima with his fried egg on his head:
There's ways to die in every game, what's your favourite player death?
I would probably go for PC Genjin with his bulging eyes and foaming at the mouth.
Huh? What is this PC Genjin thing you speak of? Anyways, I like the death scene in Bonk's Adventure!
I love the "death" scene in Devil's Crush where your ball falls down a hole topped with a Skeleton laughing! Speaking of which, Blodia has a pretty cool death scene too actually!

Prince of Persia falling on spikes is pretty neat too.

A small part of my soul dies whenever I play Timeball.
Silly, you don't play Timeball. I dunno what verb you DO use, but it's not play.
hahhahhaa.
Also, I'm with nat and keranu: I like the music in Blodia. I with the lazy bastards included more than 2 tracks with the game, though. That would have been wonderful.
So, who is going to be kind enough to post a screenshot of the broken orb?

Awesome. I love sunteam_paul. He shows a video montage for all his clips, but he keeps the soundtrack intact. Very nice. :)

I'm not a big Bonk fan, which might be why I like his death animation the best. I love the way he just bounces off to the side like he's KOed, and then if you want to keep playing the game you press start to bring him back alive and your "guy" counter decreases by one. A very graceful design, I think.

Yeah, I agree with you. I dig how Bonk's corpse remains on the screen.
