Title: Galaxy Force 2
Post by: Kitsunexus on October 27, 2007, 10:57:32 AM
Jaw. To. f*cking. China.
Seriously, I bet when people saw this their jaws went to the same place. This is game is THE SUPERSCALER, it's so f*cking AMAZING! There must be like 4000 sprites on the screen at once!
I never thought I'd be so impressed by a 1988 arcade game, but seriously this game is hella cool. I can even forgive the absolutely horrible draw distance.
No screenshot does it justice. f*ck polygons, I want 3D games to be made like this. The Genesis port is utter shit, but the Saturn port rules (at least IMO).
And the SEGA Ages version is INCREDIBLE, it even has the badass Shaft sample at the start of level one:

Have you ever played the arcade version of Space Harrier? That's pretty f*cking impressive for 1985, the same year SMB came out. Same scaler technology.

No, Y Board is more powerful. And I spent over $400 in quarters on Space Harrier when they had it in the pizza place.
Also Rail Chase pwns as well.

This and the arcade Thunder Blade are both visually quite impressive. Both only have 4 stages I think. WTF? Anyway the scaling in the arcade Galaxy Force kind of reminds me of Soul Star on the Sega CD which you may have seen in my Booya!.

Thats what you get for bootleggin and stealin and downloaden thief.
I own this game (http://www.amazon.com/Sega-Genesis-Collection/dp/B000HQG5FG), dipshit.
And the only thing I hate more than a dipshit is a dipshit who can't read the first post in a topic. See the first post for mention of the Saturn port, as well as a video.

No,I just figured you one of those awesome people who's always f*cking with their psp running ISO images of UMDs with Devhook. I mean seriously, you are always the cheap mutha f*cker on here linking to PcEngine cd images, and chatting up about the romz and emus like theres no f*ckin tomorrow. You don't even own a TurboGrafx or Pc Engine,or many other game systems last you said.
As for the Saturn comment saying

honestly I didn't even f*ckin believe you have played it,once you pointed out you had said that, however I was more focused on your comment on the Genesis port....
How did you play Galaxy Force 2 on Saturn anyway??? Lemme guess, you downloaded the cd image, and ran it on emu, right? Or do you actually own a console region modded now and the actual game??? Seriously Kitsunexus,if your opinions are all based off of videos on youtube, then they don't count for shit, and its about the same for playing games on emus.
For that matter, did you actually run the game originally on a real Genesis,or did you use Kega or Gens or is it on a Sega compilation???
You wanna know how I did? (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a66/Amakusa666/galaxyforce2.jpg) I own it. Granted it is not the best at all by far,but by no means does that port suck.
Also, weren't you the sad f*cker wanting to get opinions on if you should sell your PSP to get a GP2X for more emu shit,so you can download more iso images and romz to play since its free? Yea I guess you were: https://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=3865.0
Sorry, forgive me if I always assume your a cheapskate who doesn't buy games,it just comes across to me that way when thats all you f*ckin talk about doing dumb ass.

1. You can't spell for shit.
2. I never linked to a PCE CD image, as I dunno where to find them. I'd sure appreciate it if you'd tell me though! ^___^
3. We can go on and on about emulation, but really, no one cares. You're just the grumpy old man in the corner. Go take your nap.
4. And yeah, I've played the Saturn version. ON AN EMULATOR. As far as my opinions not counting for shit, neither do yours. Welcome to the Internet, where no one is important.
Seriously man, I'm telling you as a friend, you need to grow up. Half of your post was HORRIBLY misspelled, all because you're typing like a little angry kid. You need to take a chill pill and stop being so angry, hell if I had said D-Lite in this post you'd have probably gone on a homicidal rampage.
In short, save the drama, and get out of my thread. KTHXBAIBAI. ^__^
EDIT: As far as Devhook is concerned, I don't want to f*ck up my system, so I only run official Sony firmware. As a result, I can't run homebrew. But YOU never bothered to even ask that right? Just jumping for your gun, right? Seriously, grow up.

I guess I'll stick with the NES version. Good thing I didn't donate.
That shows how unwilling you are to spend money on games, even pirating them, everything must be free huh? And I am pretty sure you don't even own a Nes and the cart,so let me guess, another emu and rom, right???
3. We can go on and on about emulation, but really, no one cares. You're just the grumpy old man in the corner. Go take your nap.
I don't see it as being wrong when it is used for the right reasons, aka window shopping before buying a real copy, but the fact remains is that you don't buy shit, you download about everything you play, and that places you as a complete cheapskate faggot in my book and not someone who does,or possibly even really appreciates or enjoys the hobby of gaming at all. But alas,I know you need the extra money for your pop rocks, pez, model rockets and hamsters....
4. And yeah, I've played the Saturn version. ON AN EMULATOR. As far as my opinions not counting for shit, neither do yours. Welcome to the Internet, where no one is important.
Thats weird,I value almost everyones opinion here,BUT yours, odd as it may seem to you....

A,I am not your friend, B, since any of that was before your time here I am wondering if you even know wtf you are talking about. For that matter him and myself have both come to terms, every now and then we both talk about things like family, raising kids, ect, you know, shit parents and people with responsibilities talk about....
In other words we don't email each other about the latest roms we have played or where to get ISO images..... I have purchased Pc-Engine stuff from him as of late, check his sale thread Mr. know it all. Also I have hooked him up with a friend for similar purchases since he had other PC Engine and MVS stuff for sale.
In short, save the drama, and get out of my thread. KTHXBAIBAI. ^__^
Last I checked you called me a dip shit first, you gave yourself your own drama, and after all,YOU ARE THE ONE around here constantly talking about emu shit and downloading romz and looking for ways out of buying games....
EDIT: As far as Devhook is concerned, I don't want to f*ck up my system, so I only run official Sony firmware. As a result, I can't run homebrew. But YOU never bothered to even ask that right? Just jumping for your gun, right? Seriously, grow up.
My reply to that is to quote my above comment:
Quote

I mean come on,you can't seriously be surprised someone here thinks this way about you when its all you seem to talk about....Its not a matter of jumping the gun,it is the simple fact that you openly post about partaking in these activities, what do you expect?
Also, please for the love of f*cking God do not send me another one of these gay f*cking PMs about how you want to be buddies, with a feeble attempt to cover up the fact you like animal sex. Incase you needed a refresher here you go:
hey I just wanted to let you know, that if I've offended you somehow, I'm sorry.
There are some sick f*cks in our fandom, I know, but I don't have sex with living or dead animals, I don't fursuit, I don't roleplay or any of that shit. I also try not to point out that much that I am assoiciated with the fandom, despite everybody saying I do. I dunno why.
I just thought you'd like to know that.
You've also made a comment a while back that I was some sort of pedo or something, but that's highly offensive to me. I would never even JOKE about that kind of shit, I'm one of the ones who believes that when it comes to pedophiles, there's no such thing as cruel or unusual punishment.
If you seriously have some sort of problem with me, let's talk. I work a lot during the nights, but I am available during most of the day. You can email me at kitsunedarkstalker@gmail.com or you can AIM me using KitsuneDS. PM is good too.
I just feel like I've done soemthing to make you hate me, and I'd like to see if we can work this out somehow. If not, that's cool, it's just the Internet I guess, but I still think it was worth a shot. Let's just try and keep this off the forums, I've receieved a PM telling me to cool my jets, and I wouldn't want soemthing like that happening to you as well.
Thanks for reading all this. :)
BTW f*ckwit, your spelling ability is not all that f*cking great in that either,I mean you managed in that PM to f*ck up : associated ,something TWICE and received, along with fur suit as you forgot to add a space between the two..... I know, maybe you did it by accident because you were in a hurry, being all emotional and awestruck at the thought of you and me being best buddies...

You think you made important points, but you forgot that nothing you say on the Internet is important.
And about the PM, yeah I thought I had done something to piss you off, but apparently you're just an a$$hole. I take real offense to someone calling me a pedophile. I tried to make things right, and actually settle it via PM, and here you come and do this? Way to go Big Mike! You da MAN! You sure showed me by linking a PM! I AM SO TOTALLY PWNED, I'M CRYING RIGHT NOW REALLY! OMFG FURSECUTION!
And all that jazz.
But seriously, no one cares.
And another thing, why are you so proud of owning GF2 for Genesis? Yeah, you own it, but it's shit. I don't go taking pictures of Bust-A-Move DX for you to look at.
And btw, there will be no round three. Before you throw a party, lemme make it clear. You did not win anything, it's just that I'm taking the initiative and shutting this down since we have no moderators to do so for us. It was wrong to call you a dipshit in retrospect, but hey, you're from Arkansas! Guess I jumped the gun. :P That's pretty much all I did wrong.
It's a damn shame the thread got derailed, I had a lot of questions about the Y Board hardware. Oh well, that's life.

You know, you did the same mistake last time too, calling me something for no reason at all,and back then got the same response from me you have been getting now,are you really that f*cking clueless? I also think its funny, like a about face, you knew what you did to make my shit list, but you act like you didn't know, and I mean, its almost half hearted, like you did it because YOU got a PM telling YOU to cool your jets... Maybe you should worry about your own f*cking self since no one on the internet nor their opinions matter to you as you keep saying.
And another thing, why are you so proud of owning GF2 for Genesis? Yeah, you own it, but it's shit. I don't go taking pictures of Bust-A-Move DX for you to look at.
Well, since you feel its shit I will post other sample pics of some of the other games I own, some as in being not all I own, just small portions, and not mass collections of roms on dvd-rs,but actual games: (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a66/Amakusa666/nespicsforkits.jpg) Some of the pc games, not all of them,I have tons more. I know pc games are the easiest to get off the net,but I actually buy the ones I like. (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a66/Amakusa666/pcgamesforkits.jpg)
And last but not least,I am sure you know all about these, you play them on Mame or Nebula all the time I bet. (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a66/Amakusa666/neopicsforkits.jpg)
And btw, there will be no round three. Before you throw a party, lemme make it clear. Whats to shut down,is there a magic power switch somewhere I was unaware of??? Hey I guess in retrospect I can't seriously take being called a dip shit all that bad either from a furry from Texas. After all,all I ever hear of or observe about Texas is that all it has to offer is beers, steers, queers, cowboys and faggot furries. The only one who managed to start the derailing of their own thread was you here. Now go back to chasing down your rabbit for some hardcore animal sex. Since you said your going to shut this down I can only guess what your response would be,so I will take a stab at it and try to fill your shoes for you so to speak:
I'll be sure to do that Michael, god I luv tha wabbits!!
then you get up from your chair, and next thing you know there is a scuffling and alot of ruckus being heard, some yelping, the neighbors get concerned....
I'll get you, you waskly wabbit! If it's the last thing i do!
More animal screams, then silence. Then the neighbors call the cops,ect...

Would you people please shut the f*ck up....
The DogFuxors is an incredibly annoying person at times, but he'd getting better. Mike is just being an idiot though. He assumed a crime that a) didn't occur, and b) isn't really a crime in the first place. I mean, the MPAA, and the RIAA, JASRAC, etc all consider it a crime for sure, but they are just leaches anyway. In the end law is determined by the masses, and the masses clearly aren't that concerned about copyright.
Warezing games is part of fandom. I bootleg more music than anyone I know, but at the time time I also buy more music than anyone I know. That usually how it goes. I sure as f*ck wouldn't spend $150 on Bazaar de Gozaru without bootlegging it first. Something people should really understand someday is that buying something in itself doesn't give you legitimacy.
Its nice that you own GFII for Genesis, Mike, but kind of pointless these days since its a crappy port ("good for its time" is still often crappy, sorry) and a pretty much a useless piece of plastic since the Saturn version is much better and costs very little ($16 new at NCS). While its true DogFoxor does seem to base all his opinions on MAME experiences, the big difference, IMO, is that he's full of positivity. Most of the shitheads who do this play the games for 10 seconds and talk about how much it sucks failing to consider the overall experience of what it was like to play that game back in the day, or even what the second level might look like. Shit, even people that *pay* for the stuff (such as the shitheads at 1up or whatever doing Virtual Console reviews) do this crap, as we've discussed here on the forum in the past (see Vigilante review).
Now on the subject of this game. GF1 and GF2 are really similar. I'm not sure what the difference is since I've only played II in the arcade, and I think the home versions are all of II. The Saturn port seems really nice to me. Yes, I paid for it, so don't give me any shit. I also run it on a real Saturn that is both region hacked, *and* Japanese, and no I'm not going to take f*cking pictures of it to prove it. Whatever the shortcomings are for the SS version, I'm sure they are minor.
BTW, semi-little known fact: the R360 cabinet made for Galaxy Force II deluxe versions in limited numbers was actually used by Sega for a Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram machine. I think only one like this was made, but maybe two since its such a popular versus game. That is my dream arcade machine. Obviously the R360, and therefore GFII I suppose, was a "Concord moment" in a way since the cab was a decade old when they decided to do this conversion.
Sega was such a great company...

Yeah, I recall playing this one in the arcades in that spin around cabinet (Is this the R360 cabinet you're referring to Zeta?). This thing seriously kicked ass for its time, and it still looks pretty damn good IMO. :D
That cabinet and VOOT? That sounds pretty fun, though I figures the cabinet would go kaputz in no time with all the rapid movement (esp jump cancels), not to mention make the player feel pretty sick. :-s

Well I think there was more than one different deluxe cab...possibly. The normal motion deluxe cabs like the one G-Loc usually had were pretty minor compared to the R360 version. The R360 sent you upside down and everything. An attendant was required.

VOOT in an R360 would be sweet, but I honestly don't think I could play it for more than 5 minutes without vomiting.

Ah, the one I recall spun around on the all the way (like a top) -- more movement than the milder cabinets than just rocked back & forth -- but didn't flip you around like the one on that link. That looks pretty damn serious.

Since an average game of VOOT lasts 1 minute that would probably be fine.

Me and my friends can stretch it out. Just set us in front of a DC with Oritaro Tangram (best DC game ever) and give us a pitcher of Black Cherry Koolaid, and you will see epic battles that rival any Hollywood movie.

Yeah, I've been absent from eBay for awhile now. I should check again as I think this game needs to be in my collection in all (home) forms.
