Title: Help fixing DEII music
Post by: spenoza on November 07, 2007, 07:04:04 AM
Yes, I'm cheating. I'm using a DEII ISO to play the game in an emu. But the music is screwy, seems to start over after a few seconds and rolls into the next track often. Do I just need to alter some of the times in the cue file?

Did you check your CUE file against the TOC at necstasy.net?

You beat me to it, nat!

Try using their fancy tocfixer if your cue is incorrect.

Thanky. That site looks right helpful. Except... I'm not sure exactly how to ensure my cue file compares favorably to this entry.

Scratch that. Always look before leaping!

Are you using ME? If so are you using a real system card image?

Actually, I'm using Ootake and a real system card image. And I'm still getting the music restarting after the first few seconds, even with a perfectly matching .cue file. Haven't tried it with Magic Engine, yet. Oh well. The game still plays. It just sounds a little funky.

And to be honest, so far I very much prefer the first DE...

Hmm... I'll try out my copy of DE2 on ootake and post back later or tomorrow - which ever comes first :o

Any results, Malducci?

I played pass the first boss(two wolve/things) and had no music problems. I was running the lastest version of Ootake and mounted the image with alcohol 120%.

Spenoza... maybe you should contact Jammaniaclord either here or on the ME forums for access to the HUB. You might have a bad image/setup. If you own the original, then use TurboRip to make a proper rip.

Edit: I played some more of DE2 on ootake - still no problems.

Turborip has been banned from the internet.  It is no longer available anywhere (within the searchable realms of Google, anyway).

It's available under the "How to make an Iso/Wav/Cue set using TurboRip" tutorial at necstasy (http://www.necstasy.net/) or directly from NightWolve (http://nick.serveblog.net/index.php?ind=downloads&op=entry_view&iden=8).  Don't strain yourself looking too hard.

When I click on any of the nick.serveblog links, I get a Forbidden page:

But I did get the file from Necstacy, thanks.
