..where it comes from resp. what's the meaning of?

mine shows edward norton where he played derek vinyard the neo-"arsehole"-nazi skinhead, in the movie american history x. while the one in the movie had a big swastika tattoo on his chest, mine has a big pc engine tattoo.

Mine is Johnny Depp portraying Raoul Duke in the movie "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas" based on the book of the same name by Hunter S. Thompson. I'm pretty sure it's when he's looking at the bats, not when he asks the hitchhiker to get in the car.

The text under the avatar is a parody of when he says "We can't stop here! This is bat country!". "Buy the ticket, take the ride" is something they also use a lot in the movie.

 :oops: no way guyjin, the PM system on this board is kind of weird. i already missed a lot of PMs from others since there is nothing which become noticeable when a new one comes in (like a popup applet or a number of new PMs in the header).

Just one of the characters i like useing alot in SS2.

My avatar is the pilot from Rude Breaker, another shmup that Compile developed back in 1996.
This one game few ppl have played, so its a safe bet that there's no chance anyone will have the same avatar.
Plus, the picture of pilot laid back and chillin is just the way how I am most of the day. Pretty much slacking around.

My avatar is Airzonk tied up to a science table, about to be molested by a giant green space lizard wearing a monacle. I ripped it from PcDenjin with MagicEngine. I also dropped my name in there with photoshop  8)

Mine's a response to the vast number of religious dopes who continue to pander hatred, all the while putting themselves onto a pedestal by saying that "family values come before everything else". It's mainly in response to the large number of so-called Christians making a big stink over gay marriage...they teach their kids to hate anything that doesn't fit into their narrow view of right and wrong. It's disgusting and completely contrary to their own religious teachings...which they conveniently ignore for the sake of their own prejudices and insecurities.

No it's actually from the cover of Image Fight. It's extra cool to me because not only is Image Fight my favorite game on the system, but the guy in my avatar looks like Robocop, which was my favorite movie as a kid.

There is a period between the words "Gun" and "Smoke".  Therefore they are two different sentences.  It refers to killing people with guns during the stages.  Between the stages you smoke, killing yourself.  No need to license from anybody.  Now if you'll excuse me I must go play Forgotten.Worlds.

HAHA good call!! I remember that show! I had a lot of the figures. I remember getting them at a discount store called pic'n save that used to be next door to k-mart in my hometown of vallejo.

I never had any of the vehicles so i never could play along with the show but I remember watching it a couple times.

I think it was just similarly named. As Joe stated, there's a period in there. Maybe it's just engrish?

To me, the main character reminds me a lot of tv bounty hunter Josh Randall, Steve McQueen's character in the show Wanted: Dead or Alive:

I think the period between Gun and Smoke was put in to prevent a lawsuit from the rights holders of the original Gunsmoke TV series. :-k

You're right there.  It's totally inappropriate to show somebody sighting down a rifle with their eye below the hammer like that.  Come on now, folks!  Accuracy and safety (in that order) are extremely important when it comes to firearms.
