The thing that throws me off of the fighter game is the fact that you have to hold the controller very oddly to play it, or at least that is the way it seems to me right now.
I have not played it in a few days so my button memory might be off but this is how I understand it:
I: Charge Up
II: Unused
III: Taunt
IV: Unused?
V: Not sure, but I am pretty sure this one does something
VI: Attack
My understanding is that I have to hold down the charge button and when it is full, execute another button, without letting go of the charge button.
Something has to be block. When I charge up I generally perform a random street fighter II move, just incase the game is looking for something like that.
Usually I get a few attacks off on the enemy before I am dead, but I have not been able to get close to being able to killing one. Not even close. It's also a real drag there is no cpu VS cpu mode on this game (at least that I can find). The Battle Heat cpu VS cpu mode is so entertaining to watch, and it's usually the first game I show to someone because these games are so freaking unique.
So, does anyone here actually know how to play this game?

Isn't block just pulling back while being attacked? There is only one 2D fighting game series I can think of with a block button, and its that POS Mortal Kombat.
I only played this game once soon after its release, but I don't remember it being that hard. I'm blurring this and the Neo Geo versions together in my head though...

This is a FMV based fighting game. It's the one with the annoying and cute cat girl who says "baka!" all the time.

Anyone? I'm not really understanding how to get close to winning a single round. I don't understand how to do attacks stronger than the basic ones. It seems you have to use the most powerful moves to do enough damage to win.

Oh shit, sorry, I didn't even notice this was posted in the FX section.
