Title: Contractor and owner fight over found cash
Post by: Necromancer on December 14, 2007, 03:07:51 AM

Contractor scum finds $182,000 inside home, and the douche thinks that it should be his.  I wouldn't give him a dime, since the greedy f*cker rejected a 10% finders fee as insufficient.

Crazy!!

The owner of the home is lucky that his friend even bothered to tell him about the money. He could have easily taken the money and not say boo about it. 10% is pretty low, but the owner of the home obviously has more right to it. If the whole lot is worth $500 000, I'd offer him 100 000, maybe 150 000, just to save the cost of lawyers as well as the friendship. These guys will end up spending a shit load on lawyers that they could have just shared and both wind up short one friend.

I forgot he's asking 40%. I'd settle with 30%. Again, if the contractor was just some stranger there'd be a good chance the owner of the home would never have known there was money there.

And what, they were good friends?

Sad how money makes relationship sour like that in an instant.

You think that's bad?  Someone had their leg, their real, made of bone and meat leg stolen from them!

"This seems to be a case of superstition. The two people might have taken away the leg hoping to benefit from its magical powers," said Pendakanti Dastgiri, the police officer handling the case.

Kondaiah told police that two men offered him a drink as thanks for previously helping them with his magical touch.

After he passed out drunk, the men chopped off the leg below the knee with a sickle and left him to die, said Dastgiri, adding that passing villagers found him and took him to a hospital.
