Title: K.I.T.T.
Post by: Necromancer on December 21, 2007, 04:28:09 AM
Knight Industries Three Thousand (http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/35274/113/)

Since NBC is bringing back Knight Rider, Ford decided to piss away a ton of money to promote the GT500 (as if the Ford infomercial that is I Am Legend weren't enough).  They should've stuck with GM and preferably Pontiac, though the only coupe they currently have is the Solstice.  At the very least, they didn't have to slap on such a ricey wing and side scoops that go half way up the door, and why did they have to use a GT500?  Sure, it's got boost, but not from turbos.  If this abomination isn't to your liking, pick up the Hoff's original ride on ebay (http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=289591&GT1=7703).

The only thing about the remake that I'm really looking forward to is the delicious Deanna Russo and Will Arnett voicing K.I.T.T.  Of course, no matter how bad it is, it still better than brain dead crap like Deal or No Deal, Survivor, American Idol, or any other scripted reality shows.

Man,when I was a kid this show was the best. I used to play with the toys and everything. Now,its simply embarrassing, esp after seeing the Hoff in a drunkin stuper on the floor eating a miss mash of hamburger in front of his daughter :(

A mustang?  Lame.  I've always though mustangs were not a whole lot to look at.  I'd almost rather see Kitt a Fiesta, at least then there could be some kind of Herbie commedy relief to the movie when they actually catch up to a bad guy.  They also could have made Kitt a tricked out Yugo or something

If you remove the spare tire, there's probably room for the onboard computer too!

They should of used the new Challenger, this is the first good looking muscle car in many years.
Mopar went back to the late 60's early 70's for design elements, which I think was a good thing.

Personally, I think that going retro is an altogether bad idea.  Why base the new K.I.T.T. on something styled after a car even older than the old K.I.T.T. ('84 Trans Am)?  A new 'vette could've fit the bill nicely or maybe even a GTO, though they're already out of production.

It makes the chopped Yugo perfect then, doesn't it?

No - they were first made in '81 (not that that's the only thing wrong with it).

Wow they were?  I always thought they were a late '80's thing.

They started in '81 in Yugoslavia, came to the US in '85, and are still cranking 'em out in eastern Europe (updated design, of course).  A gal that I used to work with had one.  Surprise, it was junk.

When I was 15 going on 16 I had an ongoing joke with all my friends that I was going to buy a Yugo when I got my license and give it a flamejob.

Fortunately, I never did.

I would have made him a Koenigsegg CCR (http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=10&hl=en&safe=off&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=koenigsegg+CCR&spell=1).
