I'm not normally one to like Judge Judy, but that is worth watching after the 3 minute mark!

I have a concept for a court show called 'bailiff, club this man'. Would be kind of like this, except the (wo)man behind the bench would tell the bailiff (a retired pro wrestler) to club either party (with a soft foam tongfa, but still) when they misbehave, or just when they desperately deserve it.

I would like that woman to be the first defendant.

You all know this is scripted, right?

Judge Judy is not scripted in as much as these are REAL cases with real plaintiffs and such.

I'm not sure if anyone is feeding them lines to say, but if so, they could've made it a lot more entertaining.

I doubt there is much, if any, scripting at all, to be honest.

The cases are real.  I've read interviews of local people who've been on the show and they were pissed that they lost and had to pay up.  Plus, they can't script that shit with the writer's strike even if it was fake.

I was pretty impressed with Judge Judy and I'm not one to like her.

However Judge Mathis would've blasted this case the better than anyone else since he's the best judge of all time and one of my biggest heroes.

I know someone who was on Judge Judy and the only thing not necessarily real is JJ herself. :)

Yeah, they have to "put on a show" if they want ratings.

I doubt it's scripted, people are really that f*cking stupid.  I'm sure they cherry pick only the funniest/most ridiculous cases for the TV show, there's probably tons of boring ones that we never see.

Judge Judy's a worthless scag that is more interested in being entertaining than in serving the law.  I have a few questions for the stupid old cow: what is the relevance of the defendant's weight, how is her tax filing status germane to the complaint, and in what way does this case relate to the defendant's parenting skills?  If this were a real court, this joke of a judge left the door wide open for an appeal.

If you ask me, both the defendant and the plaintiff are fools.  The defendant is a tool for running misleading auctions and preying on the ignorant; the plaintiff is an idiot for bidding on auctions with conflicting descriptions that clearly said 'photo only'.  The best part of this video is the delicious daughter, and it's too bad that the camera didn't stay on her instead of showing that wrinkled old hag.

well, yeah, it's TV.

makes for good TV.

how is her tax filing status germane to the complaint,
considering she's willing to commit one kind of fraud, it's likely she's committing others.

and in what way does this case relate to the defendant's parenting skills?
by doing this sort of thing, she's endangering her children. Someone who got scammed by her may not go through legal channels for conflict resolution.

Are you serious? You rule!

And I agree with guyjin about the parenting thing. But not only is she endangering her children, but what kind of morals is she going to raise them with if she is a lying, cheating, criminal piece of shit? Those kids need to be taken away ASAP before it's too late.

They claim that it is a real court, so Judge Judy should be a judge first and an entertainer second.  If the dumb bitch is incapable of conducting the proceedings in a way that would be appropriate in any court of law, then they shouldn't act like it's a real court.

That sounds retarded.  By you guys' reasoning, at least half of all children should be taken from their parents, as nearly everyone has done at least one stupid and illegal thing at some point.  I'm guessing that child protective services are a bit more worried about parents that are neglecting and/or abusing their kids than they are about stupid shit such as this.

I beg to differ, good sir.

While you are correct that protective services probably has more... "troubled" parents to worry about, this mother (and father) obviously have the moral standards of a f*cking cockroach. They have no business raising children. I've done plenty of stupid and illegal things in my life, mostly during my teenage years, but never anything to intentionally slight another person.

But it's a pretty big jump from a couple of petty childhood mistakes to actively trying to deceive and rip off other human beings. This was no random "mistake," this was a premeditated attempt to royally screw as many people as possible. My own personal morals prevent me from doing something like that, and actions like those are huge reflections on a person's character. These worthless bums obviously have no moral center. How can you instill a good character and moral standard in your children when you have none yourself? Trash breeds trash.

There's nothing retarded at all about that, I find it curious you don't see the obvious issue here.

Plus the fact that the fat cunt was completely unapologetic about it and kept acting like she hadn't done anything wrong, f*cking stupid bitch.  Judge Judy was dead on about her husband being a coward too, I bet he was hiding at home with his fat tail tucked between his obese legs shaking like a little girl.  f*ck I hate people like them.

In the Fat Cunt's defense, she did advertise the product as pictures.  People do this all the time.. they advertise Boxes, pictures.. packaging of
products for an exorbitant price.  It's a loophole in Ebay's system that people exploit all the time.  In any other court Fat cunt could have gotten off
the hook... but not in Judy's court.

Indeed, but the issue that I see is that a trip through the foster care system would likely be far more detrimental to the kids than being exposed to further chicanery.  Like Woody noted, tubby clearly stated that the auction was for photos only.  The only mistake that the cow made was listing specs for something that wasn't a part of the auction.
