I'm sure this topic has come up before, but I was wondering what are your favorite games? I'd have to go with Ys book I and II, it is hands down my favorite game of all time for any console. And you can never go wrong with Lords of Thunder.
I also would like to mention that a lot of people don't like shapeshifter because it is tedious and pretty freakin hard... I have to say, even tho I had to start my game over like 10 times so I could master each level without dying a lot, I had a lot of fun playing it and beating it made all the starting over worth while. Well, I'm just babling away here but what are your favorites?

Man, I never get tired of this conversation. I love talking about my favorite Turbo games.
Obviously, the Bonk series is up there. I think all three games are great (except for those idiotic levels in Bonk III where you go through the giant kitchen, or whatever it is). As far as HuCard games go, my favorites are Splatterhouse, Bloody Wolf, the Neutopia games, Side Arms, Blazing Lasers, Dungeon Explorer, Parasol Stars, R-Type, and Keith Courage.
My favorite CDs are Ys 1, 2, and 3, Dungeon Explorer 2, Cosmic Fantasy 2, Gate of Thunder, Lords of Thunder, Side Arms Special (JPN), Splash Lake, and Prince of Persia.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but that's a rough idea.

I also like DragonSlayer and Beyond Shadowgate. Gunhed aka Blazing Lasers is one of my All-Time-Favs!
-
i'm gonna go with gate of thunder and shadow of the beast, and multi player bomberman, solo is good, but blowing up friends is always more fun
-
my fav games are:
turbo chip: Jackie Chan's Action Kungfu, Summer Assault, Military Maddness, Ninja Spirit, Bravo Man, JJ & Jeff, Dungeon Explorer
CD: Dungeon Explorer 2, Loom, Cotton, Lords Of Thunder

I am a Valis phreak!!
III & IV are the faves, the megadrive & S Famicom versions aew also swell.
Apart from that, Splatterhouse, Jackie Chan, Shubbibinman 2, Download, Final Soldier & Final Match Tennis are personal classics:D

AV tanjyou
there's something about managing three wannabe stars in their chosen path to p*rn stardom! :p
seriously this is a lot more fun than more sedated Tanjyou. :)
-
How much Japanese do you need to understand to play AV Tanjo?
-
well you are after all managing three girls in AV industry so yes you will need fair amount of Japanese knowledge to play it.
cheers
-
Have to mention Cardangels. Something about playing cards where if you win you get to see animi girls in their bikini :D
-
Ys I and II, Bomberman 94, Galaga 90, the Bonk series, and Last Alert are all favorites of mine.

Wow my favorite games...............hmm...well, LoT of course, GoT.... but as for Hu's I love Bonk 2...the music in it is so good, sometimes I mistake it for redbook audio :O
Now on the flip side, how about games that you still need to play? I've been wanting to get into the Valis series (never played either 2 or 3 yet!) and I want to play Dragon Slayer again...one of these days.

I thought you had the complete Turbo CD selection??
Sacrilage for not playing Valis 2 0r 3, 3 really has amazing music, really.

I do now :D The last TurboCD that I needed was Terraforming and I just got it recently. But I've not beat that many Turbo games. I have tried out Valis, and the music isn't as good to me as other Turbo games, but that's because I grew up on Cosmic Fantasy 2, Dragon Slayer and Ys rather than Valis.

Valis II is one of my all-time favorite VG soundtracks (for any system)... not the best game, but great music.
And, Zerojean: I think Valis II has the best music in the series.
But that's just me... :)

Best US Turbo game? Needless to say it must be Ninja Spirit :)
Best US Duo game? It's either Dungeon Explorer II (even though gameplay is short) or Y's Books 1 & 2
-
Can't believe no one has mentioned Legendary Axe. I loved that game when it came out. It had great music, great control, and nice graphics. Devils Crush, and Psychosis were also big time killers for me.
As for CD games, Dracula X hands down. I'm a big fan of Castlevania games, and was really mad that that one was never released here, so I imported it. Its excellent.

For both US and Japanese:
1. Ys I&II
2. Dracula X
3. Spriggan I&II
5. Bonk I
6. Ninja Spirit
7. Dungeon Explorer
8. Fighting Street
9. SFII CE
10. Shinobi
11. R-Type
12. Bomberman
13. Sidearms
14. Forgotton Worlds
15. Monster Lair

I forgot about BLOODY WOLF... I love that game
Bonk 2 is great as well and I always loved Air Zonk even tho it's a little short
There are other games that I love, but those jump happened to pop into my head
