Title: Worldrunner/Rad Racer 3D effect?
Post by: Kitsunexus on January 17, 2008, 11:36:02 AM
OK, this is probably pretty stupid, but in Rad Racer and Worldrunner for the NES, how can they do red/blue 3D without taking a framerate hit?

Is it alpha channel trickery or something else?

Um, it is a framerate hit.  Cames can run up to 60fps (who knows if Rad Racer & 3DWW do?), but since they have to alternate L-Red/R-Blue every 60th of a second, the real framerate is 30fps.

That's cool, I never noticed it! Thanks for the info! ^_^
