Awesome movie, go see it.  I was scared I wouldn't like the characters since I've never heard of any of the actors, but they were all actually really good.  Hopefully they don't ruin it by making a sequel.  For all you nerds they also had a super short 10 second Star Trek thingy with Leonard Nimoy's voice, I admit I was mildly aroused.

I saw the Star Trek teaser on YouTube. It got me excited but was a little disappointing at the same time. I was hoping for more substance.

The thing I'm afraid that Cloverfield will have, is that "Blair Witch Project" type camera, where everything is all sloppy & annoying.  Like Bourne Supremacy, which annoyed the hell out of me.  I have yet to see the 3rd Bourne, I hope it doesn't have that sloppy look to it ](*,)

It is all shot on digital cam, but after the first 5 minutes it gets steadier and you start to forget it's a handheld until shit really hits the fan and the camera dude starts freaking out.  I thought it would bug me too, but it didn't, i loved it.

It does.  Totally amateur.  That's Paul Greengrass for you.  He sucks ass.  Handheld camera = 100% homosexual (unless used very briefly).
