Title: Region Mod
Post by: Laser Burn on January 23, 2008, 04:08:47 PM
Just purchased a PC-Engine Duo-RX and am wondering if anyone knows a good guide so I can do a region mod to play US cards on the engine.
I looked around and the only thing I could come up with was a guide in german.

Thanks

go to www.multimods.com (http://www.multimods.com/) and click on "PCE Region Mod" in the left margin.

Looks like fun, are the Core Pcengines modded the same way a duorx is?  I figured they would be different due to different board revisions, also where are the region mod chips available for this?

Thanks

They are different, but not the parts that you need to modify for the region mod. Those parts are the same across all NEC systems.

Dean, the guy who owns that website, also sells those. You can contact him either through that website or through this forum. His forum name here is "D-Lite". I think they run $15 or $20 but don't quote me on that.
