Someone who used ot work with me was having a clearout and gave me this lot of beauties for free!

Missile Strike is great as it doesn't even have a proper screen - it's all mechanical with a clockwork timer and the planes printed on moving strips.

The Tomytronic 3D games are something I've always wanted to play, and the Tron style Sky Attack is really good!
Unfortunately Astro Wars doesn't seem to work and Frogger keeps moving you forward randomly, which is not helpful for avoiding traffic. The Game & Watches are Donkey Kong Jr and Mario Bros.
All in all, a pretty nice retro haul for nothing.

Pretty nice schwag; doubly so, for free.

Does Firefox connect to the internet with 80's cellular technology?
Seriously though, is it based on the movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083943/), and how does it play?

It's a space shooter. It has some nice colourful graphics and actual STEREO SOUND! You can even turn each speaker off independently. There are a few stages: trench run, free shooting, base attack, all pretty much the same given the limitations of the technology. It does have a few familiar jingles like Star Wars and Thunderbirds. It's pretty unresponsive, although that might be because the machine is so old.

You better do the person who gave you those a huge favor, that's a totally awesome pile!

I love that Missile Strike game. Its so much better than the shitty LCD/LED things from that time period.
-
isn't Tomytronic 3D a game you hold and look into like a view finder? If so I had it before in the late 80ies. I remember it being bad ass.

Most impressive - insert Darth Vadar voice.

That's really awesome! I always thought those mini cabinet/computer things like Firefox looked sweet!

Nice haul! I had one of those Missile Strike games as a kid. It drove my Mom nuts but I loved the heck out of it.

I did some research on the Tomytronic games, very fascinating! They made a game in the 90's that was JUST like those, same LED style graphics and everything. The visor was shaped like a B2 Stealth Bomber but I forget what it was called.
EDIT: Radica Stealth Assault (http://cgi.ebay.com/Stealth-Assault-Handheld-Video-Game-Radica-1998_W0QQitemZ190130951961QQihZ009QQcategoryZ1182QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem?refid=store). I never had one (a friend did), but I CERTAINLY wouldn't pay 30 clams for it, especially used. I had the chance to get one for $4 at a junk shop but I didn't buy it due to hygenic concerns (and the fact that I bought NiGHTS for Saturn and a VTech Helio (R.I.P. little buddy) instead.
