Heads up for those collecting US titles (*cough* Nod *cough*):

These are UK sellers and their selection is somewhat limited. However, they are selling NIB factory sealed TG-16 games for peanuts. I just bought four factory-sealed titles I needed off these guys. I think my bill when all was said and done was between $50-$60.
Sinistron just scored a factory sealed Dead Moon for $20 and change.
-
 =P~ =P~ =P~
-
Unfortunately, I an unable to buy from them due to ridiculously stupid paypal policies. I was going to buy a Silent Debuggers, but I guess I'll wait for now. However, if anyone here happens to snag one, I'll buy it from you for the price you paid plus 10% plus shipping.
-
Man I just bought four games from these guys earlier. Is Slient Debuggers all you want? I could buy it for you and just have them ship it directly to you.
-
I already received a lot from simplesimon and I'm currently waiting for another lot from morediscuk (including NIB Neogeo games). The only problem is that the shipping costs are ridiculously high and the guy doesn't want to lower the shipping costs for bulk orders. Anyway, it's still a bargain.
-
nat: they have others I want but since they won't combine items for reduced shipping costs, SD is the only one I would buy. And I'd want to buy 2 copies, one to play and the other to keep sealed. I certainly won't refuse your offer. :D
-
Rover: I was going to order a few games today from morediscsuk and would gladly add an extra copy of Silent Debuggers for you. Just say the word.
P.S. - I can't ship 'overseas' to Puerto Rico (ha-ha).
-
Yeah, the no combined shipping thing is kinda sucky, but when you figure the games are only $14 or $15 after shipping, it's still a f*cking great deal.
-
The word. :D So yes to whoever wants to do it, and I'll pay extra for the trouble.
I find it hilarious that some places consider PR to be "overseas" or "international".
-

Your order has been placed for two copies of Silent Debuggers. I'll PM you when I have 'em in my grubby little hands to arrange payment and shipping instructions.
-
The good deals always come when you don't have the money!

Okay, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. :)
-
The seller selection isn't too bad.Still the down side is that the u.s dollar is weak right now, wich hurts at this point.
Still with most uk sellers i use them as a last resort.
Mostly when i can't find the game any where else and when i have no choice.
Any ways thanks for the link nat i bookmarked the seller.
-
Just wanted to follow up.
I received two of the games I ordered, these were from the "SimpleSimon1966" seller. Total after shipping came to $34. The games are indeed factory sealed and not re-shrinks. The games: Final Zone II and Ballistix. Considering these came from the UK, I'm actually kind of surprised they showed up so soon! Considering I am on the west coast of the US-- there isn't really anywhere further from the UK than here.
Two brand new Turbo games for $17 a pop after shipping. Definitely beats any kind of pricing TZD has got on games right now (their cheapest runs you $19.99 and that doesn't include tax or shipping).
So SimpleSimon gets a ringing endorsement... The best part being that many of the games they have TZD has been out of for years. I don't know where they found this stuff, and frankly don't really care. So again here's that link in case anyone is interested:

Yeah, simplesimon rocks and is a very, very good seller. Morediscsuk, on the other hand, is rather slow when it comes to shipping and his shipping costs are excessive. Still haven't received my games since I ordered them 2 weeks ago (I'm in France, he's in England).
-
On the recommendation of this thread I bought a sealed Ordyne and Buster Bros. from this guy. I received them today.
Very fast shipping.
Too bad the packaging was terrible! He tossed both of them into a small cardboard box -- one on top of the other -- with no additional packaging. Surprise, surprise, there was some pretty bad crushing on the Ordyne outer box, particularly from the Buster Bros. CD (which left a nice indent in the front of the Ordyne box).
He also charged me DOUBLE his shipping costs. Given that, you'd think he'd try a little harder to package them well.
Edit: On a whim I sent him a message asking for a partial refund of $5 which he accepted! He's ok with me!
-
Sorry to hear that Lochlan. Interestingly enough, mine was packaged in a box INSIDE another shipper. No crushing for me.
Anyhow, sorry to hear it didn't turn out better for you. I feel a little guilty.
-
Don't feel guilty! I knew the risks of ebay! I wish I could say this was the first time I got something packaged poorly enough to damage the contents.
I just wanted to let people know that simplesimon is not without his faults.
-
I just ordered two items from simplesimon, a sealed Ballistix and a sealed Yo Bro. Since they both come in airboxes, they should ship nicely. :D
-
So I guess I spoke too soon.
I randomly decided to send him a message on ebay asking for a $5 partial refund (haha like shipping it back to the UK would be practical) and he accepted! I'm dissapointed that my game is forever ruined by its shameful postal rape, but I'm reasonably satisfied with simplesimon1966 as a seller.
(lol maybe I should have tried messaging him first, then bitching about him on the internet second)
-
Just received my new Dead Moon- this one comes with a French instruction booklet- as a sticker on the outside says "Directives En Francais A L' Interieur". Just as a curiosity- does anyone know how this affects the value of the game? Maybe it doesn't although I'd figure that the packages with the French instructions would be rarer.
-
Well in France, it doesn't affect the value of those games as we are used to the pc engine. These versions were destined for canadian market.
-
I think it's basically the US TG-16 stuff that collector's want. I'm just assuming. I know I would be kind of bummed to get a foreign manual - but I've become a bit of a collector minded schmoe then.
Should I buy Yo' Bro? Ordyne ?? These are the questions I'm stuck on.
-
Buy 'em. This is likely the only chance you'll get the opportunity to grab them at a decent price, new.
You still get an English manual in addition to the French one.
-
ummm md- you should buy...
SOLDIERBLADE!!!
yo bro sucks wildly.
ordyne's good- not great.
but you're collecting the american games at a good clip- so I'd say get 'em all. With urgency on SB.
-
yeah I want SB .. I do. I think I decided I want Ordyne too - - I didn't realize it was a two player until very recently.
Mr Fulci said I shouldn't miss Silent Dubuggers either.
that's interesting - you get an english manual as well as a french one - wow ! Sounds very Canadian to me
sini tell me something about Yo Bro. People's lips are sealed on that game. None of the usual loud mouths around here have anything to say :D
what about Keranu , what do you think ? Are you Pro-Yo-'Bro ?
-
People's lips are sealed on that game. None of the usual loud mouths around here have anything to say :D
Here's one loud mouth's opinion: It sucks, hard core. The graphics are rather primitive, the game play is monotonous and overly lengthy, the tunes are decent (if you can stomach Beach Boys, that is), and the controls are pure shit. I'd enjoy the game a lot more if the damn bear would hop off the stupid skateboard and just walk.
-

Exactly right. These are the Canadian versions. The only thing differentiating them from the American versions is that you get an extra French game manual in the box.

Like Necromancer said, the game pretty much sucks. I'm buying it because I want a complete US collection. If you don't care about that, I suppose you could skip it and hold out for a copy of Camp California which is a far better game featuring the same characters.
-
yeah, I have Camp Californi and like it a lot.. which is the why I've gotten so curious about Yo Bro.
still would like to see some gameplay footage.
-
Exactly right. These are the Canadian versions. The only thing differentiating them from the American versions is that you get an extra French game manual in the box.
Yup. You don't know how many times I would end up swearing at the final "pit stage" of Ninja Spirit in French. Tabernac!!!!
-
Yo Bro sucks something spectacular just like everyone's saying MD. It tries- even shows some variety with shooter dream stages- but this really plays like an nes game- and not a good one. There's also levels far later in the game that seem ludicrously difficult even on easy and you wonder why you're trying to beat it in the first place. I got to some board- was it amoebas? -- where the enemies kept multiplying and being that you can't cover everywhere at once it seemed unfairly futile. Again- I'd say get for the collection of US games you're amassing- but definitely don't make it a priority. And I happen to love Beach Boys music. I'm sure Camp California is leagues better. Nowjudging by the games you have- I'd say as far as US hucards are concerned you should worry about getting Aero Blasters, Dragon's Curse, and Soldier Blade (worry about Bonk III when you get a converter then you can save money and get pc kid III).
US CDs- if you like 2-player games you should pick up Buster Bros. and Splash Lake. You'll love both.
Of course however you won't find new copies of AeroBlasters, Dragon's Curse and Soldier Blade for el-cheapo- but they're worth picking up first. I'd say Dragon's Curse first, then Soldier Blade, then Aero Blasters.
-

My copy of Double Dungeons (bought new from TZD a few years back) came only with a cowardly French manual. My German heritage forced its immediate surrender.

HA HA HA HA!!! I love it!

That's odd-- all the Canadian versions of games I've ever come across had manuals for both languages. Maybe this was another cust-cutting measure they used on the later games?
-
I have a manual at home that's all in French- not one of those all white with black text ones like the one that came in my Dead Moon box along with the regular one. I think it's a Veigues manual.

Perhaps, but wasn't Double Dungeons a fairly early release? Maybe my copy is XTR3M3LY R@RE!!1!, in which case I will gladly sell it to some sucker lucky collector for $200 and a baloney sandwich.

My Double Dungeons manual is also a full color, normal looking manual (except for the different language, of course).

I've got the sandwich...

Just wanted to follow up.
I received two of the games I ordered, these were from the "SimpleSimon1966" seller.
Followup #2. Just got my two games from the second seller, MoreDiscsUK. Shipping was obviously a bit slower, but the games were packed better. While SimpleSimon shipped the first set in a box inside an envelope, and in Lochlan's case, a flimsy box that got crushed, MoreDiscs opted for a big, industrial strength box with 2.5" of padding on all sides.
The games I got from SimpleSimon were in very good condition, but the corners of the boxes inside the shrinkwrap were a little bruised (just slightly).
The two games (Talespin, Yo' Bro) I received from MoreDiscs were absolutely perfect, corners so sharp you could poke your eye out. They look like they were printed & sealed yesterday at the factory.
Interestingly enough, I went back to MoreDiscs eBay store just now and all their TG-16 stuff is gone. I guess you guys (or Redfrog ) ate it all up quick. So anyone who didn't order already... You missed your chance.
-

Supposedly MoreDiscs sold most of their stock back to Telegames UK, which is where these games came from in the first place. Apparently the owner hated video games and didn't want to deal with all the complaints he was getting. I would be very careful in dealing with them. I ordered a game back in September which I have yet to receive. They refuse to respond to any of my emails.
-
I'm still waiting for my games. Is the UK still having that mail strike?

Are you talking about more discs limited?
If so, this might answer some questions for you: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177339
The responses from him are especially interesting.
-
wow, I had no idea, lol. I hope that I eventually receive the games I paid for!
-
I thought Direct 4 Games was a respected seller?!?! I seem to remeber a couple people on here talking about him before...
-
I've had good experience with him in the past. Maybe I should be more patient :)
-
I received my games on thursday. Everything seems ok, I've yet to open the games as I asked him to send them to a friend (the post office does a very bad job in my neighbourhood). But as I noticed, too, his responses to buyers' complaints are very aggressive and insultant.
-
I was looking to buy a couple of games from them but the lack of combined shipping coupled with "instant pay only" didn't allow for this. Guess I was right on not buying...this guy's a complete a$$hole.
-

For whatever it's worth, I bought 3 games from him about 2 weeks ago (Ordyne, Ninja Spirit, Silent Debuggers) and the games arrived well-packed and in great condition about 8 or 9 days later. I'm in the US.
That said, the guy definitely has an attitude problem. The type of attitude where if you have any sort of problem with your order, complaining about it probably won't get you anywhere.
-
Like geddon, I got my games in great condition and I'm also in the US (west coast).
Sounds like the guy is lazy and an a$$hole but for those of you who haven't received anything, I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Mine took a long time to show up, too.
-
what an enormous ass. i wouldn't buy from him even if he were the cheapest, most reliable seller on ebay.
-
My carefully packed games arrived today from morediscslimited. It wasn't exactly speedy delivery, but three weeks isn't horrible either (like Missa's adventure was). They're so minty fresh - I wish I had a digital camera so I could take a picture before I pop their cherries.
-
Told ya so.
The guy may be slow, but damn he packs 'em well. Don't they look like they're fresh off the assembly line?
-
They sure do, and the shrink wrap ain't crushing 'em one iota (as some peeps fear).
-
I ordered a ninja spirit from moredisclimited and still haven't receive it yet. For those that ordered from moredislimited, did you guys receivie your item yet?
-
That's who we're talking about, turbokon. Give him a few more days. He was slow for all of us but the games did show up, in FANTASTIC condition.
-
Yeah, he's a slow shipper. I ordered on 1/31, and he sent emails the following day stating that they'd been shipped. Contrary to his communications, the postage was dated 2/12, so the bum sat on 'em for nearly two weeks before shipping. They were nicely packed though, and in a box that originally housed six copies of Ghost Pilots for NeoGeo - kinda neat if you're a NeoGeo collector, which I'm not.
On a side note - I now have two extra copies of Silent Debuggers. If anyone's interested, gimme a buzz.
-
All the Turbo games from more disc are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They still have Turbografxs for cheap as chips though! Thats where I got mine and I must say, excellent service. I got some neo geo games for super cheap too, before Christmas. They can be slow (even in the uk), but it all turned up. I'm going to buy myself a few more Tg16s next week. They are so cheap, you never know when you might need another one...
-

Thats interesting, as well as buying five neo games which all came (even though some took a while..), I also got my tg16 and 4 games and also a refund for some Jaguar games which didn't show. They were actually a total pleasure to deal with. I spoke to them by email a good few times and we actually ending up cracking jokes together..
-
The Old Rover has had a change of heart, so I no longer have the pair of Silent Debuggers available. Sorry, folks.
-
Finally got my sealed ninja spirit in the mail today. Overall I'm pleased since I didn't pay an arm and a leg for it.
-
Yeah, you really can't beat those prices. I ordered two more from SimpleSimon today.
-
I've known about these for a while... the one I'm most interested in is JJ and Jeff.... it looks like simplesimon may only have 1 left....
-
Got my package from more disks today. I'm very pleased with the quality and packaging, I just wish they got here faster.
-

simplesimon was great. boxed, sealed, great condition. :)
-
Looks like SimpleSimon has replenished his supply of factory sealed TG-16 games. Got some titles up that weren't up in the last bunch...

I was reluctant to make a purchase because I thought that they came with a French Manual but if they come with the English manual in addition...Bonus!
-
Sweet, thanks Nat, just pick up a few items!
-
I was reluctant to make a purchase because I thought that they came with a French Manual but if they come with the English manual in addition...Bonus!
All games that come with a French manual also come with an English manual as well.
That said, not ALL of this guy's games come with a French manual. But they do all come with an English manual.

So, he must have the Canadian releases then.
I've always wanted to play "La Maison de la Splatter". hehe
-
Like I said, they are not all the Canadian versions. Only a few of them are. But the "Canadian" versions are just the same as the "U.S." versions, in most cases they just threw an extra French manual in the box. (A few of the Canadian boxes actually had French text, in addition to English, on the back of the box.)
EDIT: I just bought Addams Family (sealed) and Sonic Spike (sealed) for $47, shipped. Breaks out to about $23.50 per game after shipping. Better deal than TZD was, that's for sure...
-
Thanks for posting the notice and link, Nat. I've finally achieved my lifelong dream of purchasing a sealed Ghost Manor.
My buddy Mr Fulci did the last bit of convincing. Almost everything he said about the game was negative. That must be what did the trick.

Cool, let me know how Sonic Spike is. I'm interested just because it was made by IGS (SINISTRON, Tricky Kick, and, uh, Astralius).

I've only met one fellow (well, on the internet) that was into Sonic Spike, and it was when he had it back in the day. I still haven't played that game, but I know that the screen scrolls horizontally, so I have some doubts... I wish IGS recycled the code for Sinistron and CyberCore and gave us sequels to those games.
-
Got my Sonic Spike and Addams Family today. A perfect 7 days again all the way from the UK. Great condition! Runin you get Ghost Manor yet?
