$90, it's brand new, but needs to have caps replaced. Pretty damn good deal if you're handy with a soldering iron-- a brand new TE for $90. You aren't ever going to see a deal like that again.

I've got one here with the screen lit up but no picture...  Worked great when I got it- turned it on one day and no picture.

Your video caps are probably all dried up.

How much do you want for it Sinistron?

hmm well I'm not really sure as to the value- and I'm usually more of a trade kind of dude- the sound is low too but fine on headphones... Have any games to trade for it- and does anyone know what a realistic value of a dried up cap low sound express is?  :|

Turbokon- after sleeping on it I decided to keep it and get it fixed instead of parting with it...
It'd wind up being something I regretted... My apologies for bringing it up.
Like Nat says though- that new one for 90$ looks like a good deal.

Bummer   Oh well, I will see if I can get the $90 one.  I just put my kisado converter on ebay to cover the turbo express.  Now I'm battling whether I should get one just yet.  You see, my wife's brithday is this month and I know she been wanting a coach purse.  Those purses are expensive, the one she wants is close to $300.  I was thinking maybe I can help her fund the purse purchase. :?:  Personally I don't see why you would pay that much for a purse, I would rather pay that much for a mint duo.

If you know what's good for you, you'll get the purse  :D

It's your wife's birthday and Valentine's day this month...

She wants a 300 dollar purse for the same reason that the people on the neo geo forums feel the need to compulsivly post their collection pics, bragging rights and status.

Personally I buy my purses on clearance at Target or Fred Meyers (they have a lot of lovely leather ones) and usually I buy them based on if they can hold all my crap + a PSP and a cell phone.  Not based on if it was made by some special designer.

I say you better get her the purse though, well as long as she is the kind of person who would get you nice turbo stuff for your birthday.

I saw that converter for $90 last night and I *almost* went for it !

The converter is sold now.  So I have some money sitting in my paypal account.  And now the tough choice, get her the purse or get my seft a turbo express ](*,)

Or to phrase it differently: to have a happy wife or ride the couch for a few nights.  I vote that you buy her the purse and get yourself an Express, that way everyone's happy (except your wallet).  :)

You probably don't want to hear this, but I vote for the TurboExpress. You can buy a $300 purse any day. They'll still be around next month, next year, whatever.

There are only a handful of new TurboExpress units left, and BT is the only one that has 'em (well, Redfrog might have some, but don't expect those to be posted up at less than $1,000,000,000.00 BIN). Once they are gone, they are gone.

Once they are gone, they are gone.

Which is why I'm keeping mine!
A 300$ purse is steep- but hey I work in manhattan- Coach, Louis Vuitton- all over the place.  The valentine's day present I got my girl just arrived- it's a pocketbook- but a 30$ one with pinup girls all over it... She picked it out- but in return she paid for the games from Rover for me- Gate of Thunder and Theron's Quest...  Maybe if you get her that 300$ purse she just might get you an express and a few must-have titles?

Eh.  Get the express!

Understood, though it's not terribly hard to get into.  Just one word of advice: use the controller for movement and not the on-screen arrows.

Thanks all for your thoughts.  I'm going to take Necromancer advice and get both

Good choice! that's the soundest advice.  Donate blood if you have to.

I just ordered the turbo express from mindrec.   I'm afraid of needles so giving blood is not an option. However donating sperms sound like a good idea and I imagine it would be a more pleasurable process than giving blood anyway. LOL

Go my turbo express the other day and finally replaced the cap.  Now I have a spanking new turbo express with working sound, for $90.  What a deal   Oh, and my wife will be getting her purse too.
