Title: A double whammy on the virtual console

A couple of sequels, but undoubtedly good ones :)

I hate paying for good things; I don't have a Wii, so I won't be buying either. Phantasy Star II is awesome, but I'd rather pay twice as much and get an additional 29 games (Sega Genesis Collection for PS2).

How's the emulation on that? Better than SCC for the DC, I hope?

Based on my admittedly limited experience, they're pretty faithfully emulated with only a few minor sound issues.
*edit* - What the chuck is this doing in the VC thread? You silly mod, read the rules: "This is the main place to talk about the TurboGrafx Virtual Console games for the Nintendo Wii as well as non-Virtual Console games (but TG related) games for the Wii". Neither game originated on (or was ported to) the PC Engine or Turbo. :P

I agree. Why was this moved, Joe? It's VC related, but not Turbo VC-related.

Fine. Too many forums as it is. I usually ignore Virtual Console so I just threw this into the "VC" forum (which I also ignore due to EXTREME lack of interest).
Also, where's the option for "I have the real games, so there's no reason to buy shoddy emulated versions"?

I kinda like the Wii. We hooked one up to a projector at work and had a Wii Bowling tournament.

that wasn't the question. So vote for which game you like better.

I'm not really a fan of either considering I haven't played much of either. I imagine I would like both of them quite a bit, so it's a hard choice. My vote would probably go to Ninja Gaiden III only because I've played the original Ninja Gaiden more than any PS game and that it's a great game.

PSII isn't a great game. I still appreciate it since I spent so much time with it when it first came out. But its technically not a very good RPG. That doesn't mean that it can't be enjoyable though.

I voted "I hate paying for good things." Not that I do or anything, but I'm short the cash for a wii right now (or for anything else, haha.) I want a wii in the future to play nights!

I, too, had questioned his authority on the movement of this topic. The indication that it was had also been removed (I find that to be interesting, but I know locked topics can be removed by moderators at any time) :-k.
I have only seen a little bit from each game. My judgement for the vote was based on the knowledge/feelings gathered for them.
From Ninja Gaiden III, I have watched . I know that the Ninja Gaiden series is known for its fantastic gameplay and is mostly a conversion, even good, from the arcade. While watching this video, I had felt a little bored with it. The story did not seem to be too exciting to me. However, it did look like it untilized the NES's capabilities up to the highest. Overall, it seems to be an average game.
For Phantasy Star II, It was viewed through (but can also be viewed through by ). I'm aware that the Phantasy Star series is an intergalatic-esce RPG made by SEGA and is seemingly past its prime, like Square Enix's Final Fantasy series, to its fans. From it, the game looks like it utilizes the Sega Genesis's graphics and music quite nicely, making a bit of a stellar experience. It seems to be at least above average overall.
With this, my vote was placed for Phantasy Star II. I do not have enough interest to buy either game from Virtual Console, however.

Are you still looking for Sarah Connor?

She reminds me more of Tuvok from Star Trek Voyager.

I fully expect every one of her posts to have a "Works Cited" subpost.
