Just my take on things. Its nothing new if you've been keeping track of the stuff on this forum.

The last chapter (of episode 30) is when I start talking about it. If you have comments leave them in the blog entry for this episode.

Not to bad. Obviously hate the PS3...lol

Nobody listens to podcasts.

Nothing worth reading.

The PS3 rocks. I haven't listened to the advertised MP3 because I don't listen to MP3-casts, but the PS3 rocks. Well at least as a Blu-ray player, and Blu-rays kick major anus.

I listened to the podcast, but I stopped listening after the Redfrog discussion flew off on an unrelated tanget. That said, I agree with everything that was said on the Redfrog issue.

I have to admit, I wasn't interested in the PS3 previously but since the HD-DVD forfeiture announcement I'm planning on getting one if for nothing more than a Bluray player with the hopes that one day a PS3 exclusive I care about will be released.
I'll concede as a console alone the PS3 is pretty pathetic as of right now, however.

And ironically, it fits your post as well!

People keep saying there is a mp3, where is the link to the mp3? I just get a paragraph and a box with a question mark. There is no way I am gonna install quicktime either. I would like to hear it though.

But then again, so is the Xbox 360. And the Wii.

Ps3 is a great console! Its everything that you could want in a next-gen console. It has internet and media center capabilities. You can even install linux on a partition! The games are beautiful looking and online play is free.
-
nice podcast. I enjoyed it. Zeta you got a good voice / attitude for such a thing. Good for you. As a Turbo / burgeoning SNK crossover fan I wish you'd talk more about that stuff. There's got to be plenty of resources for people out there interested in PS3 or whatever it is.

There is no MP3. I use AAC instead.
You can get the files directly from the RSS: http://web.mac.com/signofzeta/gfr/Game_Face_Radio/rss.xml
If you don't have Quicktime (which I can sort of understand as its really annoying under Windows) you can hear it with VLC.
-
I have Quicktime on Windows and it r00lz. It's not as good as Mac Quicktime, but that is because the Mac is from the future.

I have quicktime pro for windows 8)

On a Mac Quicktime is totally integrated (there's that world again) into the system and I don't even notice its there. Its just whatever runs when I play video/audio. So, its pretty much like Media Player...9, was it? Whatever the last non-ultra-annoying version of WMP was in Windows. And like WMP in Windows it will use whatever codecs and compressors that are in the QT library folder (which on my Mac is pretty much everything).
Under Windows though it really stinks. Its this "other" app that is separate from everything, and if you are going to use something separate from everything you are better off with VLC. Its also popping up all the time and asking you to update even if you haven't touched the program since the last update.
This is not exactly surprising. Safari under Windows is kind of pointless too since its operating in a vacuum without all the other cool Mac stuff to back it up. Once again, if you are going to use something non-integrated you might as well use Firefox.

If you use your PS3 as a media/internet/linux machine, you're putting unnecessary wear on you're console. Did people forget the whole, "Oh! I don't need to buy a DVD player onw since I can use my PS2 as a DVD player instead! Awesome!"? I'd just use it as a game machine.
-
I thought about that, but it didn't worry me. I had been using my ps2 as a dvd player until I got a ps3. The ps3 seems pretty solid too. It doesn't really put much wear on it to use it as a media center, maybe just on the replaceable hdd. Maybe running linux will put wear, but I'm gangsta like that, haha.

Safari is useless even in OS X.
Quicktime Pro will probably stop the "popping up" stuff, which I have never experienced. I'm sure it's pretty easy to find the serial. I have more problems with Windows itself popping up saying "There are unused icons on your desktop" and other complete bullshit that is super-annoying.
-
Oh god Windows has got some of the most annoying, meaningless pop ups ever. "You are low on disk space." "You have unused items on your desktop." "Updates are ready to download."
Basically anything that pops up in that yellow dialog window I'm 100% sure was programmed to drive you literally insane. Luckily there are registry hacks to get rid of that useless shit.
If I ever get my hands on the programmer that implemented that bug, erm, feature I plan on strangling him with my mouse cord.

Tune in about to 43 minutes into it to hear about NEC stuff (http://web.mac.com/signofzeta/gfr/Media/Game Face Radio 30~Boing%21.m4a)

Useless? Its all I use. I use Firefox only for checking my Hotmail account every few days because those pricks at MS broke Hotmail and now I can't get in with Safari. I've had that account since 1996 and its only gotten worse every year. Last year I started the transition to pay email, which is better anyway. No ads. My how I hate ads.
-
Install AdBlockPlus on Firefox or download a Safari adblock plug-in and you can get rid of most ads on free services. It saves me lots of trouble.

Well, try redownloading it. The file size should be 29.5MB. What are you using to play it?

Well don't use Realplayer. It must be trying to stream it or something, which probably isn't working because this file isn't really streamable in a reliable way.
Right click on this link: http://web.mac.com/signofzeta/gfr/Media/Game%20Face%20Radio%2030%7EBoing%21.m4a (http://web.mac.com/signofzeta/gfr/Media/Game Face Radio 30~Boing%21.m4a)
Then chose "save to desktop". Once its on your desktop open it with Quicktime using the right click menu. If you don't have Quicktime (apple.com) you can also use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).

Thanks i down loaded it and listen to the whole podcast.
I did wanted to hear your thoughts on the whole redfrog fiasco.
In general i do think it's mess up it sucks that nobody else could, have gotten tzd left over stock in games to sell at a good price.
That was rather ugly what redfrog wanted for a copy of dynastic hero.
All the the more reason why i've avoided trying to get the u.s version of it.
I've been satisfy with the jpn version beside it being dirt cheap.
I even went as far down loading it for the wii vc just so i could play it in english.
Oh well let redfrog be the next bullseyescollectibles,games_sqaud conartist etc.
I'm sure he will fool people who are new to the hobby but else body i doubt it.
