Title: brawl codes

Don't expect to see me online for a bit, as I need practice first :)

also, the interface confused me at first; I thought the game had hung because I couldn't use the pointer. it expects you to use the controller sideways-style exclusively.

Wow. We're the only members of the board with this game? the rest of you are missing out.

Brawl is epic. It's like gigantic extension of Melee with some fun improvements. The new Final Smashes make the game a whole lot more fun too. Even if you're not into Smash Bros. multiplayer, the "Subspace Emissary" adventure mode is a really fun platform style game that allows two player co-op.

We gotta play online, guyjin!

How is it graphically?

And how are the Wii controls?

The graphics are awesome - but I've only barely played melee, and have never played the original*, so YMMV.

The controls can be a bit annoying. You can make changes to your controller config, but you're restricted to what actions can be assigned to what buttons. Ferinstance, the Classic controller would be perfect if you could assign movement to the D-pad, but you cannot. (not a big fan of the analog stick.)
The Wiimote is better but you are not allowed to assign one button to smashing; it must be two. (either 1+2 or A+B); I haven't got a GC controller yet, that may be better.

speaking of D-pads, what is up with all these f*cking taunts? Why do you need 3 of them? Are they some deeper part of the game I don't understand?

Also, funny story: I unlocked ROB last night. His level is from the original mario bros. During one match, my oldschool gamer instincts kicked in, and I went "gotta run to the other si...f*ck!" and fell off the edge.

*edit 'cuz i'm stoopid

Snake is extremely fun to play as. He has this awesome heat seeking missile that you can control, so it's fun to hide in a corner and snipe people with it. If someone gets up close, his smash attack is deadly and his Final Smash is one of the coolest in the game. Sonic is pretty nice too.

Hey guys, long time no see.

Here’s my FC in case any of you ever want to have a good ol Brawl battle.

As far as any Turbo related stuff goes, my collection hasn’t gone up for a while now but I did get Lords of Thunder on the VC. Man that game rocks and it’s a challenge too. Super mode beats the crap out of me all the time.
