Title: Best Virtual Console release of the week
Post by: guyjin on March 10, 2008, 04:24:57 AM
Both imports this week! The former is the SFC sequel to Milon's secret castle for the Famicom, and the latter is the Genesis version* of the game known  under half a dozen aliases.

What console was Puyo Puyo 2 released on the VC for?

I remember back in like 1988 or 1989 or something, before I had even heard of the Turbo, we let a friend borrow all our NES games except Milon's Secret Castle (or maybe he traded that to us in exchange for everything else?). That was all we played for like a month or two, non-stop. I got so sick of that f*cking game. I recently re-acquired it and found it so incredibly unplayable. How the f*ck did I find any enjoyment in that thing back then? I turned it off quickly as the memories came flooding back.

Never touched the sequel on SFC, though.

I voted for DoReMi because I just found out about it last night and it looks pretty sweet. It's gonna be translated and brought over here?

Puyo Puyo rocks man! I especially loved playing the arcade/Turbo CD version with its sexually ambiguous title character! :D

So I vote for Puyo Puyo 2. :)

i just noticed that too.  i'm pretty stoked, as i've never played it - and it looks rather charming from the vids that i've scoured.
can anybody here vouch for the game?  if not, i'll just go ahead and take the plunge and hope for the best :)

I sure hope we're getting more imports soon.  We need a LOT more for the Turbo!
