atomlol..today I walk down the street for work, and what i've found almost on the middle of my way?
a boxed super famicom!!..hahah
and i took it
-
Nice! Must be your lucky day! :)
-
Just laying on the ground? Hahahha, that really would only happen in Japan.
-
Haha, oh Japan!
-
in japan, people put their trash on the street side, usually under a net, to prevent it of getting all tousled by the crows. but some kind of lazy person, who trashed his SFC this morning, just putted it in front of that net so it almost reached the middle of the street, where i was walking.

Does it work?
Is Japan aware of garbage cans?
-
Man thats sweet! You lucky ass, I'm jealous :)

Apparently they use a superior technology known as "nets."
I'm sure in another 5-10 years us primitives here in the US will also adopt this advanced garbage retention technique.

1. i don't know yet..first i had to smuggle it unnoticeable into the firm (under my jacket), to not appear like the last otaku on earth.
have to try it later. but if it doesn't, i will make it to do^^ but it is in a better shape as most of the stuff you can buy at recyle shops today.
2. in some mansion areas they uses containers, but in most part of residentials they using those "high tec nets" :D

"The firm?" Are you a government agent?
-
jeez, don't the Japanese know about ebay? #-o
I wouldn't even throw a pong clone away, and they're almost worthless now.
edit: IIRC, tatsusama works for a Swiss watch maker's Japan branch?

sorry...also known as a company
-
Nice find and boxed too. Did you have to save a drowning kitty to get such good karma?
-
That's because in the US we have signs!

It's Japan! The person probably thought, "I'll just put my SFC here on the walk while I go in to have dinner at this nice sushi place, it wouldn't be proper to bring it in with me. Nobody will bother it anyways."
-
Leave it to Tatsujin, A DIRTY FOREIGNER, to bring crime and thievery into the country.

It probably fell off a truck :-s

You know, Tatsujin has been in trouble with the law before as we all know :-k seriously though, great find.

They do not have trucks in Japan. The place is far too small.

Good riddance! Semis are a public nuisance.

do you guys know? you made me feel really bad now  seriously thinkin' bout put it back where i found it immediately, even at a heavy rainy day like now
-
Don't listen to those punks. If you really must get rid of it though, you can send it to me :)

If it was in or near his garbage net, wouldn't that mean he was throwing it away? Though one has to wonder why anyone would throw away a pristine boxed console.

Maybe the dude was throwing it out because he sucked and was a sore loser, lol.
-
maybe his(?) parents threw it out when he wasn't looking? :-k
-
Or maybe he wanted to get rid of it and was hoping someone would pick it up. That happens here in the states all the time. Put something you're done with but is still usable out to the trash, but don't put it in the trash can and maybe put a "FREE" sign on it, and it's gone in no time.

I would keep it. You are obviously going to enjoy it more than whomever threw it out. Have a blast man and put your conscience, in this case, on ice.
