i think this is the spot to post this?????
ok so im going to a Video game show/meet and this one guy that will be there told me he has 1941: Counter Attack for the Supergrafx… ya i want & he will part for $140 but he is open to offers as well. What is a fair price for this bad boy?
the game is minty complete.
does any one have? worth it?

$140 is too high IMHO.
However, the game fetches almost $100 average on the Japanese street market, so it's not a cheap one by any means.
If you can get it at or around $100 you're doing well. But personally, I wouldn't go as high as $140. Maybe, maybe I'd go as high as $110 if I was desperate and the game was absolutely mint.

Thanks for the input man… the guy im dealing with is a good shit and im buying some other PCE games from him so hopefully thats enough to swing a better deal… I was thinking of $100 but i did not want to insult the guy :roll:

Where? On inflated eBay auctions? Maybe, but that would certainly be the ceiling on the price range.

About a hundred is fair. IIRC, I got my copy last year with a slightly wavy manual and no cardboard sleeve for $70+/-.

Yeah, that's much more in line with what the game generally goes for.
For the sake of comparison, I got a mint condition copy for $100 shipped. By "mint" I mean it may as well have been brand new/never played. It didn't have the shrinkwrap though.

$140 is about right for that game (is paying that much for any game is "right"). with a lot of searching in japan, you could probably get it for $120 (during the dollar's better days, that is). i have also seen it there for $180+. the problem with 1941 is that it's just hard-to-find. it rarely pops up in japanese stores and often sells quickly. i haven't checked to see what this is going for on ebay anymore but i'd say this:
try getting the guy to bring the price down a bit. ask for $105 but settle for $120 because you are getting to see the product for all its mintiness before you pay and you will never get that with ebay. on ebay, if you pay $110 and factor in the shipping costs and the slight risk factor, it could wind up costing you the same if not more. rest assured though, at 140, he's not trying to rip you off. good luck!

Prices for this one are strange in Japan. I agree with geepee for the most part, but mine was only about $80, and I bought it from
Madarake which usually sells stuff quite high.
