You guys like it? I grabbed it today at some hole in the wall game shop. Haven't fired it up yet. I have to dig up my snes from under my bed, lol.

Nice find!

When I saw it, I was like; what the heck? lol. I'm a big fan of the supergrafx version (even though I suck at it ), so I had to grab the superfamicom one. :)
-
You guys like it?
me like it for sure!! nice grab :) when i finally managed to pick up a x68k version of daimakaimura, i will post a pic of a complete jap. makaimura collection of every title ever released over here for consoles or computers (incl. gaiden stories and spin offs) :)
-
Nice, I can't wait! I only have it for nes, supergrafx and superfamicom so far.
-
if you like the series, i would recommend you to buy the capcom gen. 2 compilation for pS1 or saturn which containing all 3 (makai, daimakai, chômakai) on one disc in their original version (ok, let's say to 97% in their original version). or there is now that PS2 capcom comp. with a lot more of capcom games on it (all makais included as well).
-

-
 :o wow, I had no Idea there were so many :) I will later go on a quest to get them all

I hate that game. I like the double jumping and a bit of the music, but that's about it. The graphics are nice as well, but the game is slower than a bowling ball-sized turd trying to be flushed.
-
I just played it! I got to level 3, haha. It was pretty hard too. The double jumping is cool but can work to a disadvantage unless you master it! I wish Arther could shoot in other directions besides forward though. I also wish I had a turbo pad for my snes, the turbografx has spoiled me!
-
Nice find, though not as nice as finding it under a net at the curb. Did you get a sweet deal on it?
-
lol, I was thinking about Tat's adventure the whole time! My deal was pretty good; $5.00 plus tax. It would have been sweeter if it came with manual and plastic tray but I just had to have it.
-
I consider myself a decent gamer but I simply suck at Makaimura games. Especially this one - I'd take vertical shooting over double jumping anyday. This is considered to be the hardest game in the series, right?

For the definitive answer, you should ask AirRaidX, who's lurking around the forums somewhere.

the hardest one is without doubts the original arcade makaimura. chômakaimuras difficulty is quite moderate same for daimakiamura onthe SGFX.

Makaimura is actually the easiest for me. From what I've heard, the new GnG is supposed to be one of the hardest/cheapest.
-
i think it's all just a matter of how long you played one of those titles. i also forgot to mention, that makaimura for the FC is also hard as hell, but also because its disturbing technical issues.
the new goku makaimura isn't that hard, but if you try a 1cc then probably it would be considered as the hardest.
-
I've never played any version of makaimura/ghouls & ghosts except the NES/FC version - what disturbing technical issues does it have vs. the arcade?
-
to name a few. immense sprite flickers, standard 30fps scrolling (or so) and bucking controlls. i think, just a few people ever have seen the end of that one.
-
I can only get to level 3 on that one. I almost got to level 4 one time.
