Title: Analog controller for PCE
Post by: malducci on May 25, 2008, 03:53:23 PM
Anyone have any info on the actual controller? It's been discovered and verified that Afterburner 2 supports this device on the PCE. This past week is the first I've heard of it. Supposedly Outrun and some other games support it too.

That XE-1AP is weird.  They also had one for the Mega Drive which was advertised in the Japanese After Burner 2's instruction manual.  I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it doesn't look like it would work well.

Didn't really know about that controller either! Pretty cool, I was wondering once if there was ever an analog controller for PCE. Does that controller have two joysticks?

Yes it was also compatible with Halo, but NEC canceled it at the last minute because they didn't think it would be popular.  Instead we got Yo Bro which the world hated it because it wasn't analog compatible.

It might also play better with a wireless cheese grater.

You know Nintendo is going to steal your idea and make that controller now.

I don't even understand how that controller is supposed to work.

Now I'm going to keep an eye out for "Cooking Mama: Special Edition -- Cheese grater included!"
