Title: Turbo Express screen
Post by: Arkhan on August 10, 2008, 01:06:54 PM
Is there anything that can be done to a Turbo Express screen to make it not so damn bright?  Even on the lowest brightness, it often goes all crazy and i have to tilt it strange ways to make the screen visible.!

It sounds like something is wrong with the screen.  I just turned mine on to check, and with the brightness all the way up the screen should be pretty much white, and with it all the way down the screen should be black, with only the brightest colors visible at all.

What kind of power are you running?  On mine the screen goes nuts right before the batteries die.  You have to keep adjusting it darker and darker, until finally you have it set to the highest darkness and just keeps getting lighter and lighter.

Perhaps someone else can chime in here, the only thing in the Express I know how to fix is the sound, I've never messed with the screen.

That happens on all Expresses (and GTs) as the batteries die. It's normal.

I have to admit, the first time it happened to me I FREAKED out.  I was playing Shinobi, and I was getting near the end.  I was used to other systems getting darker as the batteries died.  I recharged them, put them back in and it was great.
