Can someone help me out on this one?

-
slightly different colored plastic, and the RX came with a 6 button pad.

-
So they are technically the same then, right bud?

-
all DUOs are technically the same (except of the add. earphone output the 1st DUO provides).

-
				You are correct, bud.

-
wasnt the DUO R also a piece of crap.....?  Like it was chincy and broke easy?

or was that the RX?  I thought one was crappy.

They're both built the same.  The chincy'ness you hear about is due to the doors
for the hucard/cdrom.  They feel kind of cheap when you open and close them.
Both units are durable, though.  Just don't try to run over them with a truck or
anything.. I don't think they can handle that.

The RX will make your FX feel more at home if you buy it and place it right next to the FX so their controllers can just touch.

internally Duo-R and Duo-RX are the same model.
Duo on the other hand is different, not just case colour but the internal as well...

from memory with Duo-RX you get the different pad compared to Duo-R...
