Next: Hudson Soft and Konami.

sometime it's really difficult to figure out if joe means it in a ironically way or not.

It's the Redifer uncertainty principle - he's both ironic and serious until the outcome is revealed, and therefore he's always either right or amusing.

It's kind of hard to take my previous comment seriously since if it had any truth to it you all would know well before I did (I rely of forum posts for my videogame news). Anyway, I'm sure we'd probably rather have EA buy Hudson and Konami. Maybe put John Madden as a boss in a new 3D Bonk game or Castlevania starring Tiger Woods.

I wonder why they are buying so many companies? Not that these companies are the same anymore, so it doesn't really matter. I live in the days of 16-bit.

Next up: Dead or Alive RPG! ](*,)
-
They could merge and be called Sexmo
-
Next: Hudson Soft and Konami.
Next up,Nec and Hudson Soft.Oh they tried that one and it failed.

If by failed you mean they made the sweetest console ever, then yep, they failed with perfection! :)

This merger thing is kinda getting out of hand. Sure, Square and Enix wasn't all too bad. It is better than Square and EA. The last thing I want to see is companies like Atlus and other RPG makers join them making it so there will be less different game styles. I wish Playmore and Capcom would join forces so SNK gets most of their artist and programmers back while also making better Capcom games as a possible plus. Of course this is along the lines of 2D fighters which gives this a no go most likely.
This reminds me that the EB at the mall in my hometown is now a Gamestop. The EB name must be in the process of being eliminated. Not that it really matters as they merged 4 years ago. I do like the progress made from Capcom and Taito working with Sega. Some really good things came from that. Instead of actual mergers, it seems nicer when two companies just work together from time to time.
