Does anyone know how much Ys 3 for Turbo actually should cost? On Ebay It seems to float around the $100 range, is this right?

Most definitely not; don't use douche bucket gamesquad to accurately gauge prices. An unboxed but otherwise complete copy should go for no more than $20 (clicky (http://cgi.ebay.com/Wanderers-From-Ys-Ys-III-Turbo-Grafx-16-CD-Game_W0QQitemZ300250956637QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item300250956637)).

i went a little higher and payed $30-something (can't remember) on the ebay... I am a big fan of the Y's games so i did not mind forking out my spare booze money on it :P.
Patience and you will find a gooooood deal.
-
I wonder how the hell I'll be able to find an English copy for a decent price? :x

You never will, nintega. Just go ahead and pull the trigger on gamesquad's $99.99 deal and get it over already.

What good will patentice do if some a$$hole snipes auctions? That is why I hate bidding.
-
BTW I despise bidding because a$$hole snippers/resellers make it impossible to get hard to find games at decent prices.
Once again you've revealed your mind's fallacies (not to be confused with phallus). Did you bother to click on the link posted above? It ended at $16.61 with shipping, though that wasn't high enough to meet the seller's reserve price. If bid snipers and resellers truly were falling all over themselves to inflate prices, then it would've ended much higher. Have patience, grasshopper.

I got mine for free...
*ducks*

I paid slightly under $40 for a sealed US copy on ebay in 2007. Since then I've seen sealed US copies go for around $100 on ebay. I would suggest that you wait around for a decent deal. Ys 3 really is a bad-ass game; I had a lot of fun playing through it!

alot of people say its the worst Ys, but I thought it was killer also.
-
I remember this game going for more around 2003-ish, like $50 or so. Luckily this is one of those games that have gone down in price over the years.
-
just grabbed a copy of YS IV for $26 on ebay...

That must be sarcasm.
-
I got my copy for $35ish. It might've been less but I'm pretty sure that $35 was the shipped price.
-
I am shocked by the current prices. I thought this game was going for like $20 for a while....

It was years ago now sellers on ebay just price gouge the hell out of it.
Dunno unless they think there's some kind of demand for it.
-
I bought a complete-with-cardboard-box copy on eBay with Buy-it-now within the last year or so for $35. Within a year early, I bought a new/sealed copy for twenty-something dollars. eBay is definitely the best place to get deals, you just have to be patient.

eBay is gooood and baaaaaad
depends if a douchebag is the lister or not...

There used to be a local game shop near me that had the PC-Engine version of Cosmic Fantasy 2 for $60.
-
Parasol Stars....that like Ys 3 should be in the $20-$30 range......... Of course I stopped looking after I got mine for a really good price. :P
-
They must be like the local game shop I have in town - $100 for a TG-16 with one controller....

I hope you laughed uncontrollably when you saw that crap, just to let them know how nucking futs they are.
-
the guy would probably just say - "fine don't buy it then...." What is crazy is he looks just like that guy from the Simpsons that has the comic book (but doesn't talk as funny).

People can ask $10000 for a $30 game, but there's still nothing forcing you to buy it, just as there's nothing stopping you from buying the same game for $1.
I'd rather buy $50 games for $10 from the place that sells them for $10 - $100 than buying them for $50 each from the place that sells them all at $50.
eBay's still one of the best places for buyers in the long run, it only sucks for sellers now.

Funny coming from the person that "FINALLY" won a copy for $60 awhile back

i went in and saw bravo man for 95$ and a Turbo for 115$. I asked where he got prices and he said those were list prices in 1990. -_- what a boner.

It gets worse:

Definitely a world record for this game.
EDIT: I just saw the seller; it all makes sense now. Sorta.
-
I guess people like this will make me have to eventually pay $100 for a $30 game [-X.
-
The game itself is worth every penny.
-
Keranu is right! Ys III is a really good game. I was skeptical about the change in gameplay and the fact it was a side story, but overall I was really impressed. Its a game I would like to flip again in the future. Perhaps on the Genny or Snes. heh. The Turbo version will always be the best though! 8)
-
I was referring to I & II, but yeah Ys III is worth a lot of those pennies too ;) .
