I bought a backup PC Engine (just in case anything happened to my Core Grafx II).
It was a white one with an AV mod. I say "was" because it had gone beyond yellow and into the realms of brown.
Quite frankly it was a real shocker to look at.
I figured a bit Plasticoat Enamel paint was in order and this is what I came up with.
I call it the marshmallow:

I'm guessing it's not to everyones taste.

Actually that's pretty sweet. I doubt I'd have done that, but it came out really nice.
-
I'd slap myself for painting over the logo. :P
The pink doesn't look bad, though I likely would've stuck with white paint (I'm a traditionalist). Whatever color I'd have painted it, I would've painted the bottom half to match and maybe even the power switch.

This is the only way to redeem it:

 . That's a good design for it, Sunteam_Paul! A Hello Kitty sticker would fit perfectly for The Marshmellow PC Engine .

The Marshmellow PC Engine
Perhaps it wasn't intentional, but I like the double entendre of your spelling of marshmallow.

The logo was pretty much knackered on it when I got it.
There seemed to be some quite deep scratches on the top; god knows what someone was trying to do.
I am still looking for something to use as a logo.
One of the bonuses of buying this (besides it being incredibly cheap as it came with no cables etc.) is that it takes a SNES AV cable for a nice RGB output (I use my SCART cable being in the UK).
Also, sorry for not posting on here for such a long time. I go through phases of which console I play and have been playing my Japanese N64 and have put together the ultimate Japanese Mega Drive (not cheap):

The pink actually looks really nice. I don't think I would have gone for pink, but man, it turned out nice. I even like the two-tone.

That's actually very nice looking. I'd be all over that if I had 2 X chromosomes. Its for the best that you painted over the logo - it wouldn't have shown up well anyway.
maybe you can convince Missa to trade?
-
Its funny, when I first saw it in the first post,I imagined it would be best finished off with Hello Kitty lol.

gundarN, why is the volume on the Mega Drive not at 100%? I find this unacceptable. Be warned that I do have mod powers as well as a BAN button (also functions as a BAN stick).

Hey, I didn't know you can do this. Does the paint chip after a few dings? I'm trying to find a permanent solution to turning plastic buttons a different color.

You fool, Joe. Nobody on this planet could handle the awesomeness a Mega Drive at 100% Volume.

It's at full power now that I have a cable connecting the earphone socket to the Mixing socket on the back of the Mega-CD, then the whole thing connected via phono's to my stereo for some full on volume action.
Stay that banning power.

The paint is basically spray on plastic, so it won't chip. It's made by "Plasticoat" or something here in the UK.
You simply need to spray several thin layers, giving enough time between coats.

If the power switch were brown instead of green you could call it Neopolitan...
