Title: 43 Turbo CD/Super CD games including Dynastic Hero, Super Air Zonk, and more
Post by: Press_Run on November 20, 2008, 02:17:48 PM
How did this slip under the radar? Not everyday someone puts up a pretty rare collection like that.

It already over 900 and the kicker is, it hasn't reached seller's reserve price and actually lowered it.

He can't count; he forgot to list Lords of Thunder, though it's among the 44 titles pictured.  That's a lot o' dough, but it's a relative bargain compared to what it would cost to pick 'em up seperately on ebay.  It's mighty tempting (he's even local, so I'd save on shipping), but I only need about a fifth of 'em for my collection.

Here's another price breakdown based on recent auction prices (my estimated prices are marked with an asterisk):

Addams Family - $5
Beyond Shadowgate (W/Poster) - $110
Bonk 3 CD - $130*
Buster Bros. - $8
Camp California - $60
Cosmic Fantasy 2 - $10
Cotton - $63
Dragon Slayer - The Legend Of Heroes (W/Map) - $22
Dungeon Explorer II - $90
Dungeon Master Theron's Quest - $15
Dynastic Hero - $???
Exile - $8
Exile Wicked Phenomenon (W/Sleeve) - $100*
Fighting Street - $10*
Final Zone II - $9
Forgotten Worlds - $29
Gate Of Thunder 4 In 1 CD - $15
Godzilla - $60*
It Came From The Desert! - $10*
Jack Nicklaus Turbo Golf - $5*
J.B. Harold Murder Club - $9
John Madden Duo CD Football (W/Play Sheet) - $9
Last Alert - $14
Loom - $14
Lords Of The Rising Sun (W/Map) - $20*
Lords of Thunder - $15
Magical Dinosaur Tour - $6
Might And Magic III (W/Map) - $100
Monster Lair - $16
Prince Of Persia - $8
Riot Zone - $9
Shadow Of The Beast - $8
Shape Shifter - $24
Sherlock Holmes (W/Call Sheet) - $17
Sherlock Holmes 2 - $1
Sim Earth - $5
Splash Lake - $10
Super Air Zonk - $120*
Syd Mead's Terraforming - $100*
Valis II - $10
Valis III - $18
Vasteel (W/Map) - $41
Ys Book I & II (W/Map) - $35
Ys III Wanderers From Ys - $25
-------------------------------------------
Grand Total - $1393 without including a value for Dynastic Hero

No, but I did round down (it was new, factory sealed to boot). (http://cgi.ebay.com/SHERLOCK-HOLMES-VOL-2-Turbo-Grafx-Duo-Game-New-Sealed_W0QQitemZ110310186904QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110310186904&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A3|65%3A13|39%3A1|240%3A1318)  :P

Funny, the auction ended at a penny over that.  A reseller (Ultimate Video Game Connection) won it, so expect to see 'em all up soon at triple the prices listed above.  ](*,)

I think many if not most collectors would be hard-pressed to pony up the cash for an auction like that without reselling a chunk of it at least. If you collect for the system and would put down that much money, you likely already have several of the games. So it's not surprising that that lot was bought by a reseller: they're the ones with both the capital and the desire to spend the money on a large lot like that.

But maybe I'm just talkin out mah butt.

Word.  I seriously thought about going for it, but since I would've only kept eight games plus the manual out of Beyond Shadowgate, I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle.

I suppose I don't know it's him, but I doubt there's anyone else buying and selling video games with the same feedback rating.

Dang. Ever consider a trip to L.A. for some The Price is Right? You would have won both showcases with a guess like that. lol

That must mean that Dynastic Hero is worth a penny.
