I don't think there will be a lot of tears shed on this board if that's true.

I'm not surprised.  After they were booted from ebay, I tried to contact them to find out why and to determine their current status; I never heard back from them.  Here's a few more numbers if you haven't already tried 'em:

615-443-3337 - contact number listed on TZD.com
818-706-2051 - ordering number listed on TZD.com and for their administrative contact (Gregory Schneider)
386-314-4906 - number listed for their technical contact (Richard Chenoweth)
615-469-4035 - die gelb seiten
615-443-3337 - also from the yellow pages

Parent Company:
    Shipping Solutions Inc.
    49 Business Park Drive
    Lebanon, Tennessee 37090

P.S. - There are numbers in the white pages for the two dudes listed above, but I haven't listed them on the off chance that they are not they are not one and the same.

Not gonna even bother, they never claimed my paypal payment so I just cancelled it.  No harm done.

Wow, the end of an era...

That era ended long ago when TZD sold everything to Redfrog.

I wonder what Steve thinks...better yet, I wonder if he kept stuff when he sold it.  Would be cool to contact him and buy from him.

=)

Thirded. These Redfrog guys were assclowns right out of the gate. TZD has been "out of business" since Steve sold it. The real crime is that the TZD name/stock didn't get sold to a decent individual/group instead of those jokers.

I'm curious what will become of all the unsold stock. I hope they find a way to get it out there rather than destroying it. Although considering their track record, that's probably a bit much to hope for.

He is probably living off the fat of the land and wanting to raise rabbits like Lenny.

He's probably still running http://ampie.com/ or something. You never know though, he could have sold that too!

I suspect that 'GameTimeVault' has obtained most of TZD/RedFrog's inventory since they appear to be selling a lot of similar items that TZD used to carry (such as bagged turbo pads, turbo pads with duo cords, sealed game titles that TZD never had luck selling). They have much better feedback and shipping prices are not as bad. I'm probably gonna get some of the Turbo pads with duo cords.

Same here, last chance to get some new turbo pads before they are gone.  I will at least get the pads and switch out cables later.

Is "GameTimeVault" a online retailer?, an Ebay seller?, an EBay store? (or all 3?)

I found gametimevault.com but it said "Page not found" -_-.

If they do have a separate (non ebay related) online website, could someone provide the correct URL please? ^_^

I wonder if they have Duo / PC Engine controller extension cables..

All 3 so to speak. (ebay seller, ebay store, online retailer through ebay)
They sell both TG16  extension cables and Duo extension cables... but you can get the cheapest Duo extension cables from Monoprice.com
Here's the link
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10215&cs_id=1021501&p_id=534&seq=1&format=1#largeimage
They are simply mini din cables and monoprice has 6 ft. or 10 ft. to choose from.

I was a little sad, I meant to order a few more new pads before TZD disappeared forever.  Then I checked around and there are plenty of new Turbopads around, and plenty of cheap used pads to steal duo cables from.  Joy!

Nope, it uses old Mac serial printer cables. Anyone claiming to be selling duo ext cables are really just repackaging the serial cables.

I had posted the wrong link earlier. I have corrected it now. It should be item #534 not #93.

I used a monoprice cable that was tan (the connector tip):

This is how the connector tip used to look:

Secret - used new cabling and painted the tip with black paint (for the connector tip). You could also try using heat-shrink tubing if you sliced one end off (and replaced to a Duo controller internally).

Excellent Idea!  I will give that a shot.

i used painters tape to mask up the silver connector, and used semi flat Krylon spray paint. If i were to do again, I would just use flat black paint.

Excellent Idea!  I will give that a shot.

Duo_R -

Wait, is that black controller plug in the pic still the same plug as that white monoprice cable?

I don't remember that large retangular black thing near the end of the controller plug being in the original monoprice pic ;)

That rectangle block is to connect the headphone jack of the Turbo Duo to the control pad cord since the control pad has a headphone jack built into the pad itself.
