This says that Strider did indeed exist for the SuperGrafx! :-k

Please see here (down the page) for more information about Strider for the SGX. Strider was announced by NEC Avenue in 1989, but the release kept getting pushed back and its format changed.

Ughh..... the Shuttle. 25% off the price of a CG just wasn't enough to justify goofy styling and losing CD capabilities. What were they thinking?

Isn't the fabled SGX Strider Hiryu the background behind that programmer suicide story?

...and more of that inane 8 bit comparisons. They were still comparing the TG/PCE to the Famicon/NES. As if there is any comparison. One has graphics equal to or better (depending on the game) than the SNES or Genny, the other does not. I'll let everyone figure that out themselves. heh

Love this, handygrafx! I don't think I have this issue of GamePro.
We gotta talk about including hi-quality scans at the Archives :) For real.

This was one of the first GamePro issues I ever bought. It made me think that maybe, just maybe GamePro might be a good mag and not just for the little kiddies. But alas, I was wrong.

Seriously. Didn't GamePro popularize the whole "cartoon character as game reviewer" model? Nothing made me happier than reading BanannoBrainz, SushiX and HumptyLumpz evaluate the merits and shortcomings of SimCity.
