Title: Sherlock Holmes skipping frames
Post by: DragonmasterDan on January 25, 2009, 11:35:54 PM
I recently bought a copy of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. The disc is clean, and I powered it up, Having played it on Sega CD prior to this I had an idea of what to expect. But I noticed it was skipping frames in the FMV. Is this just the way the video was encoded or a potential turbo problem?

Yes, this is normal for the TG-CD version.

How bad is the skipping? Is it a slight pause every so many frames?

Yeah, 4 or 5 seconds of smooth animation, then a quarter of a second of paused frames

I just remember that the longer the video played, the further out of sync it became. Didn't Volume 2 fix this though?
